The owner REALLY needs a refresher course in what good customer service is! I ordered a kids regular cheeseburger meal for my child, and they gave us an adult cheeseburger meal instead, which costs about double what the kids meal costs! I was even pointing to the kids section on the menu when I ordered it! When I told her that I got the wrong thing, she argued with me and told me that I was wrong, and that I had ordered the adult cheeseburger meal (which makes absolutely NO sense because I was ordering it for a kid) and she refused to correct it on my bill! Also, the mustard was really watered down, runny, and was a weird color, like they had been adding water to it to make it last longer or something...gross!! I've been there several times before, and the owner has always looked like she hasn't cracked a smile in about 30 years, but the food is usually pretty good. This time was really disappointing because I was taking some friends there, who had never been there before, and the food was not as good as it had been before. They said that they probably will never go back because of how rude the owner was to us. And because I was forced to pay for the more expensive adult meal, she didn't get a tip. I KNOW WHAT I...
Read moreStopped here while passing through to the west coast.
Ordered a couple of bacon burgers, Rueben and the La Bomba starter. The jalapeño poppers and fries mushrooms came to the table frozen in the center.
For a platter it came with a strange amount of portions: 3 onion rings (which are by far the tastiest item), 4 each of the cheese sticks & mushrooms, and 5 Jalapeño Poppers. Just found it funny.
The food prices are far different than the paper menu. I’m doing this from memory so might be a tiny bit inaccurate: Bacon Burger listed as ~$7.99, actual charged $10.49, the platter $9.99 charged $12.99, Rueben $8.49 $10.99. With the 2 lemonades (tasted like it is made from powder), hot coffee & hot cider, we paid $52.
Very saddened that it costs so much to feed 4 people a very basic lunch. The service is great. Staff is super friendly. Love the vice of the town.
Would recommend that y’all update your paper menus for accuracy, and for sure check to be sure food isn’t coming to the table cold/frozen. Change up the lemonade; the current is overly sweet and is clearly made from powder.
The menu reads that it is classic burgers at an affordable price. So upset that it has become necessary to increase your menu...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem. We stopped here on the way home from Colorado Springs, CO to Vancouver WA. Towing a 38' fifth wheel can be challenging but there is a large parking lot across the street that fit us fine. Walking into the establishment sent us back to the good old days. It looked like a 50's diner with all of the usual memorabilia, great music playing, people having conversations and delicious looking food. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. We all ordered something different and none of us were disappointed. The burgers were fantastic and cooked to perfection. They really know how to make a milkshake. They bring it out loaded in a tall glass topped with the usual goodies along with the metal container used for mixing (no skimping here). The fries and sauce finished it off. We will defiantly add this place to our must stop list for future road trips. Give them a try, you won't be...
