Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Rock Township

This is they second time I've been here that I didn't get my cheese for my fries and the chili was to watery I paid for a bowl not a cup which is 2.99 and mind you it is barley bigger then the cup and got watered down tomato sauce and a few beans so I thought I'd try the next closet one and the same thing they forgot my cheese for my fries again and the chili 5 way was cold and had more red sauce then chili I don't know whats up with the drive thru late crew but they need improvement and either some people that care about what they serve or a whole new night crew as a manager myself I would not tolerate employees that don't care what their serving or how they are treating my customers they are to many ppl that need work and would be happy to do the job right so it wouldn't matter how long they were employed with me either it's unacceptable I would close for the night before I'd have a lazy rude crew that's what my customers mean to me not their money but that they are happy and want to come back sometimes you have to look at what's good for the company in the long run not what's half done and it's whole all or nothing but that's just me and I have very loyal clients because of the way I run my shifts sorry for the book but I hope it helps the 2 steak n shakes 1 being in Fenton off g.bluffs rd. and 1 being off sugar creek to think about how their employees don't pay attention or really care if their customers are getting hot food and what all they pay for its not cheap when I go and it's a treat for my family and I hate to see them disappointed because I can't run back up there for a cup of cheese and cold chili or something they just threw more water in to stretch what was in the pan.. Edit: To make matters somehow worse the food made us all sick last night!! Placed online order for wrong store as they are both on the same street. Called mistake store to cancel order and was told they could not you had to do it online. Looked at order email and it said to call store. Figured it was inexperienced worker so drove another 10 minutes. Picked up food and left checked bag was missing cheese sauce and fries were cold. Went back in and talked to the same guy who answered the phone. Told him I wanted fresh fries and his response was it's not my fault you ordered 30 minutes ago. Explained to him I was the one that called in about the wrong order. Asked two more times and asked for manager twice. Finally he went to drop fries and grab cheese sauce after 5 minutes back and forth. No manager came up asked another employee manager came out and I immediately inquired on if they could refund online orders. She explained for deliver or web orders they can not. So I proposed what if I ordered a banana shake and you were out? She responded they would replace it and I asked if I didn't want a replacement she said she would then refund it. Having run multiple restaurants I told her her attempt to get margins low like that she would lose business and I myself would not return. She then grabbed the bags and offered to refund my food! By this time my kids have been waiting for 30 minutes to eat. I hope to God they shut down that location the other one in Fenton is great like...

I think everyone working at this location was huffing paint. Dude on the grill was rocking out the burgers and making a whole symphony of sound while doing it. He wanted nothing to do with nothing but burgers. Ol’ boy putting all the orders together was in his own world completely. I literally watched him bag my order and then just leave it sitting next to him. I thought oh maybe he is waiting on another fry or something I missed. Nope. Just sat there for like 10 min. Finally, I tried to get the attention of the grill conductor but he flat out refused to acknowledge that I was saying “excuse me” to him. Then he disappeared! I could have sworn he vanished with a final slap of his spatula. Anyway, I proceeded to say “excuse me” to the bro in lala land. Girl in the drive thru must have had the most ventilation from the paint fumes and finally acknowledged my presence. I proceeded to ask her if she could just hand me my order cause it had been sitting there for a hot minute. She put some utensils and napkins in and brought it over. Dude magically appeared and I was like hey, I didn’t see him put my cheese sauce in, is it in there?” He was like, “ I don’t know I didn’t bag it.” So I let him know they were not there so he got them.
