To whom it may concern, My name is (removed) and I have two complaints I'd like to express. These complaints are regarding the highcrest location in Rockford, IL. The first one involved a drive through interaction from the evening of 3/31. My fiance and I were in the drive though, was greeted with a "give us a couple minutes", and then we proceeded to wait over 5 minutes for someone to take or order. During that time, a line was ever growing behind us. We watched an employee lean out of the side door to the building and use a vape device. Apparently that was a priority. We drove off, feeling like our time nor potential business was being respected and went to Culver's instead. The second instance was from tonight 4/4. We placed an online ordered. My fiance went to pick it up only to come home with only part of the order filled. I had to drive back to the highcrest beefaRoo to get the rest of the food that we've paid for. This is ridiculous. We expect something from you in order to keep our business. We have no reason to patronize this establishment anymore. Please contact me. Read moreI had to wait over an hour for my food on a Wednesday night. I placed my order at 505, it was supposed to be ready by 530, it wasn't ready until 612.
The manager was shouting for help, the cashier appeared confused and everything looked very unorganized.
I watched them fill my bag one item at a time. Sometimes ten minutes between items.
If I hadn't already paid for my food I would have left.
There's mud from construction all over the parking lot, not enough standing space, not enough seating and like others have said, no decor.
They do have a sign up explaining that supply chain issues have delayed their seating and wall hangings.
The staff were kind and apologized for the delays. They stated they were short staffed.
However, there was a young man there with a job application in hand. They left him standing in the dining room for over thirty minutes before speaking to him.
This location clearly opened before they were ready. Any convenience of the location was lost four times over with the wait time.
Plus my order was wrong and most of our food was cold.
Maybe I'll be brave enough to try them again this summer... but I definitely don't recommend going there...

Reading the stories and hearing about them on the news, the concept of the Smashburger is new to this particular Beef A Roo franchise. Found out from a friend tonight that this is supposed to be going to the others as well. I decided tonight to try one. I generally put all my new hamburger experiences up against Five Guys, and this one beats out Five Guys. If you're a burger lover like me, you'll definitely have to have a Smashburger from this Beef a Roo. I guarantee you're going to love it. Take it from me Mr foodie. This sandwich, like the kids say, is definitely off the hook. It was made fresh, and boy was it juicy. haven't enjoyed a good burger in Rockford like this for a long time from a fast food joint. Generally, you've got to go to a bar and get a bar burger to have something like this. Again, five stars. My new fast food go to burger joint. Others are complaining about the decor, yes there was a lack of but why do you go to a restaurant for the decor or the food? Doesn't bother me at all.
