Terrible Food, Terrible Employees, and a very unprofessional boss who forces her workers to call her "mama j". What more do you need to know? I unfortunately had to work as an employee at this location where it is mainly %90 of women that work there. I was one of 3 men who worked there, where i was constantly surrounded by unprofessional harassive gossip that they will spread about you to everyone. I had previous experience so i took off very well at my career and did a great job to be honest- then one day i asked for a break (you are required by law to take a 30min break every 5 hours) because i knew it had been 5 hours of straight work and that i was lawfully required to take one. I asked 'mama j' for a break where she quickly shot me a strange look and said "what did you say?", where i then repeated that i know I'm supposed to have a break every 5 hours, so after telling her its law she told me to go outside and take a very very quick break.. (illegal). Now thinking about it she doesn't give ANY employees their lawfully required break. So usually being the only man on my shift i am forced to do more labor consuming tasks that the women don't want to do as it's to much work, yet i get paid less than them (min wage), but i really needed a job so i did it all without question. Two hours after i take my break i get sat down with 'mama j' and her pet who quickly say I'm being dismissed and fired, when i ask for any reasoning why i am told 'its just not working out', this is clearly because i knew my rights and showed so by asking for my law required break! They do not follow food service requirements, they do not store the food at the correct temperatures, they do barely clean their dishes (they literally make you clean the dishes with a paper towels since its cheaper than sponges), the workers judge you on what you order, make fun of you when you leave, and they are soooo stingy on giving out products (veggies) so they scold the workers to the point where we are in fear of putting to much veggies so we were forced to put not even enough for the sandwich and could only put the correct normal amount of asked for by the customer. If you want constant drama, unprofessional employees, and poor quality food...
Read moreThere is marquis outside the strip mall that advertises "Subway DRIVE THRU". There is also a huge sign in their front window advertising "DRIVE THRU". I sat behind a guy in the drive thru for 10 minutes before he finally left. I waited another 2 minutes before s snippy voice told me the drive thru was closed. HOW DIFFICULT WOULD IT HAVE BEEN TO TAKE A PIECE OF PAPER, WRITE "DRIVE THRU CLOSED" & taped it to your drive thru sign? Seriously, how difficult would it have been not to to inconvenience potential customers? Especially, those who waited patiently wanting to give you their business & money! You lost 2 customers in a span of 12 minutes! Ever stop to think how many more you've lost because of your lack of customer respect? This same thing happened to me 3 years ago & I thought, maybe, you would have improved since then. The owners & managers are truly...
Read moreOut of all the Subways I have worked at, this one is beyond amazing. I love working with everyone there, and our customers are great people. Mama J is the best manager a store could possibly have. Steve Hogan (owner) is a great guy, and knows how to run a business. He is very familiar with our customers which is always great to see. He takes care of his employees very well. I just want to thank everyone at this Subway. Thank you for having me there. The very first review on this list is wrong. Mama J does not force anyone to call her that. It is your choice. You are just angry because you were let go. Don't take...
