Great place for family fun! If you have little ones, Sapora Playworld will help the work off some extra energy. The place is completely enclosed, and there's a section for real little kids (like 2-4), and larger jungle gym for older kids (5-9). After that, it starts getting a little too small for kids to run around in. There are slides and tons of hamster-like tunnels for them to crawl through. The wall is lined with benches so parents can sit while kids do all the work. The only thing I don't like about this setup is that when your kids go deep inside the jungle gym, it can be hard to find them. And if you have one of those stubborn kids that won't come when you tell them it's time to go, be prepared to crawl through the maze to find them, and bring them out. I've done this.
Next to Sapora Playworld is an ice rink. You can skate during public stake times, and rent skates, and even grab a walker if you are a newbie. They have hockey here too. You can just sit and watch in the bleachers where there is PLENTY of room to sit. They play music, and there's a food stand outside with nachos, hot dogs, churros, etc.. so you can grab a bite to tide you over for dinner.
They also have classrooms for a variety of things, and although we've never done that, I believe they have karate and some other assorted active classes. Also, birthday parties are held here. We've been here for that, and it goes fairly smooth, allowing the kids time to run around, sugar up and run some more, before returning home. Fun place, park district sponsored, so stop by and bring...
Read moreYes I would recommend Sapora Playworld, but after today I am not sure. I was there with my 4 year old and 3 month old child on a field trip. Another parents toddler took off his socks and lost them and he was looking for them in the play area.A worker proceed to storm into the the play room and at the top of her lungs yelled at everyone in the room ( it continued for a few minutes) . To the point everyone looked around and wonder what in the world happened. She stormed out of the room and then she came back stood in the door with her arms crossed and mean mugged everyone in the room. She then approached the mom and began being very rude to her , almost belittling her over her small child not having his socks on. She was trying to start an argument over a pair of socks and she threatened to call the police, which doesn’t even make sense. There are different ways to approach people and the way she did was not ok!I lost a lot of respect for this place over a 3 year olds pair of socks. She should have been storming in to clean up the place! There was old spit up on the floor and I’m not sure when the last time it was cleaned. It is just crazy to me someone would do this at a 4 and under field trip. I am not sure what the workers name was but I’m sure the whole building heard her. I hope things change, because this was very...
Read moreKids had a blast. But moms and grandparents need to pay attention to their kids. It’s not come, let your child run wild and you stand there and socialize with others moms, or be on your phone the whole time. I felt like I was in change of 20 kids and my own. You’re a parent. Be responsible for your child. I had my kids knocked over and steps on 3 times. And one kid almost had me on the ground. A lot of kids around age 9-13 were breaking all the rules possible. As I said. You had your kids, be responsible for them!!! Be a parent. You don’t go to places like this to socialize or sit on your phone. To that on your own time,...
