Read moreWe took our kids here for dinner on a Friday night. There was five of us, but we were seated promptly. It wasn’t busy at all. The décor was interesting. I kind of wanted to get pictures, but didn’t. They have man cultural items on display, and there is some art on the wall. However some of it seems as if someone took spray paint and attempted to cover the design. It almost looks like it was vandalized. I’m not sure if this is a cultural thing I’m ignorant about or a failed attempt at modern art.
The menu is rather busy. There are many dishes to choose from, as well as appetizers. I was fortunate that my girlfriend knew something of Indian food and was able to answer some of my questions and make suggestions. I ended up ordering the Lamb Vindaloo, and we had Garlic Naan and Paneer Pakoras as an appetizer. The pakoras were really good. We all enjoyed them. The Garlic Naan was also fantastic. Our meal came with this thin crunchy bread, that I can’t remember the name. There was a selection of sauces that went with it… it was good, but I’m 90% sure I did not eat it correctly. The same goes for the rest of my meal. Unfortunately my uncouth arse may love exploring cultural foods, but that doesn’t mean that I know the proper way to eat it (I’m looking at you Pho!). Either way, the food was fantastic. When we ordered the waitress asked us how spicy we wanted it. Everything from “no Spice at all” to “You have to really enjoy spicy food in order to eat this”.
The service on the other hand was a little disappointing. The food came out slow. This could be due to cooking style, so I’m going to cut them some slack on that. There was long waits between visits from the waitress to check on drinks or if anything was needed. Even at the end of the meal we had to wait for boxes and for the waitress to bring our check. I could understand it if the place was busy, but it wasn’t. Even for being a Friday night, we didn’t get there until almost 8 and it wasn’t busy at all.
Overall, the food is delicious, services is slow… but worth...
Read moreProbably the worst service i have received till date in any restaurant. We reached the place at 1:30pm a saturday afternoon buffet. There was no one to receive guests. We waited patiently for about 10 min. The chef from the kitchen did see us waiting but no one cared to seat us. Then we walked in to the kitchen to be seen by a lady whom i presume was the waitress/manager (i have no idea)she didn't bother to greet or seat us, we chose a table for ourselves. When we did a walk through of the menu items, there was nothing left(please note we went an hour before the closing time, not like 5 minutes before lunch ends). There was no bread (naan) or Tandoori chicken. Just a few curries and some rice left. When enquired about it, she gave no proper response as though she really did'nt care us dining there. No apology, we felt really unwelcomed. We walked out of the restaurant. Can't say about the food but totally disappointed with the service. Indian's take hospitality very seriously and i am unsure if they behaved this way since we were Indian origin guests. One advice for the management, please get your service straight, thats why...
