Waffle Shop Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Rockford Township

I ordered a french toast combo, and my husband ordered a malt waffle combo. The food was okay. I wish the French toast had a bit of flavor with cinnamon or nutmeg added to it, maybe even a sprinkle of powdered sugar to add to the presentation. It was very bland to look at and eat. The eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, and they gave portions to fill you up and not over stuff you. It's nice to go somewhere and not have so much food leftover that you need a doggie bag or have to throw it out.

My husband enjoyed his food, and I was pleasantly surprised to see real fruit on top of his waffles instead of the jellified stuff. Kudos for making the meal healthier!

The restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly and on point. I liked that the wait staff took care of their tables as well as others with refills, getting coffee creamers, extra napkins, and other things. As soon as a table cleared, the staff cleaned it immediately.

The prices were pretty reasonable, but there is an extra charge if you use a debit or credit card. I would definitely go back again, but I'll try...

Best breakfast shop in Rockford hands down. We came on a family trip from Georgia to Rockford and had to stop for some food, we cane to the waffle shop because my dad came there last tike he was here and it was amazing. Jennifer was our waitress and she was excellent we even asked her about hotels and she gave us great recommendations about not only inns but entertainment as well. We came back the ne t day just because the food and service were sooooo goodddd. I had the all meat skillet with avocado and rasin toast and it was the best food ive tasted since we got here, absolutely delicious and the cinnamon french toast my god it was like heaven was in your mouth absolutely amazing food and people. Looks like we had a piece of southern hospitality up north. 100 outh of 10...

When asked for no onion in the burrito, got onion. When asked for Avocado and hashbrown, did not get it, but paid extra for it. When asked to not scramble eggs, they scrambled them Did not get sourdough toast that was paid for Did not get Biscuits and Gravy that was also paid for Overall not happy with the experience. Yes it was an UberEats order, however, they are not the restaurant or responsible for ensuring the driver gets all the food the way it was requested. Not to mention it was placed at 9:22 AM and not in my hands until 11:08 AM You guys should NOT use UberEats, unsure if I will visit the facility itself due to the things I do hold the restaurant...
