Fatzo's Pizza — Restaurant in Rockford

I recommend this place to everyone. Best pizza around. Nothing better than a quality made pie. Great crust! The crust has a light elasticity that gives it a fantastic chew and yet it still has the perfect golden brown crispy crust on the edge. Sauce, oh that sauce!! It's the kind of sauce that pops into your head when you think about a great sauce! Always tastes fresh and bright, yet has a deep robust slow cooked quality too it that caresses your taste buds and proclaims quality. If I had an old Italian grandmother, I feel like this is the sauce she would make! 👌 Toppings... who needs toppings with a foundation like that? Quick question!! Do you want to get your monies worth? Well look no further!. Toppings piled so high that Kobayashi would have a hard time finishing the lunch special, let alone a whole pizza! Better bring someone with some muscle to carry that bad boy out, other wise you might find yourself taking a breather half way back to your motor carriage. Seriously you guys, check them out if you haven't! Their subs and burritos are superb as well. It's the kind of food you hope to get when you order from someplace! Man oh man is this good pizza! I stopped in the other day for their lunch special (M-F 11:30am-2pm I think?) which was DELICIOUS! I'm actually kinda glad this place isn't super close to my house, otherwise I'd eat here every day of the week lol It was 3 slices + a fountain drink pop for $5.99 (this was as of late August 2019, not sure how long they'll have this sale or if the price will go up in the coming months/years). The selection of slices was fantastic, lots of variety to choose from! The pizza itself was heavenly, very generous with the toppings, and lots of cheese (almost too much!) I'm deducting one star cuz parking was a bit of a challenge: The area right outside their store-front windows used to have yellow parking-spaces painted on the pavement, but the lines have faded to almost nothing, so you can't tell how/where to park when you first pull up to the store. So the building landlord should quit being a cheapskate, and actually paint good QUALITY yellow parking space lines that won't disappear after a few months, but that are GUARANTEED to last 10-20 years (you get what you pay for! maybe hire a different company to come...

I worked in the single restaurant pizza and Italian food service industry in a past life and Fatzo's brought back memories. The quality and service is scond to none. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Fatzo's. The two brothers working the day we ate there are amazing humans. They have genuine care and passion for the job that I have rarely seen anywhere else. The pizza we got was made fresh and correctly with just the right ratio of toppings, sauce, and cheese. It reminds me of my favorite pizza I used to get from the family owns Italian restaurant when I was younger. Thank you too the bothers that served us and I can't recommend this place enough....
