I ordered and picked up from Jing Jing all the time. I'll no longer order from them anymore. During their covid pandemic the quality and taste in their food has vanished or they got really stingy / greedy.
Food is dry and even if you ask them to make is spicy they won't do it. If you say it's for your child it's made with some spice. They will charge you extra $2.50 for green onion which is the cost in the grocery store... Talk about inflation. Don't ask for green onion or a dish with shrimp. Each piece of shrimp will cost you a dollar.
When I went to pick up my food, I asked how much I needed to pay and the guy told me the price and I was surprised because it increased not a little but ridiculous... The guy said everything at our restaurant Jing Jing is expensive as if I didn't have the budget to eat there... Rude! I just laughed. No I don't mind paying for good food. I won't pay extra for food I taste and want to throw out.
Please save your money and drive to Chang's Brothers in Rocklin for great Chinese. This happened to me at Jing Jing the last 4 times and it is not worth it anymore. My husband always preferred Chang's Brothers I'm joining him now.
Sorry to put in a bad review but Jing Jing disappointed me too many times. Used to...
Read moreWe love, love, love Jing Jing!! Great Chinese food- one of the very best in greater Sacramento area, and I say this because we have eaten Chinese food around the world all our lives, including those in their original countries.
Wonderful services and very accommodating, polite, kind and friendly staffs. We are always really pleased to dine here, also sometimes we order to go. Comfortable, clean and homey ambience with beautiful Chinese arts decorated on the walls.
** Highly recommend curry prawn, wanton soup, Hong Kong style noodle (crispy noodle) and especially their egg foo young is THE BEST!! They use a nice and unique gravy for egg foo young while the others use stinky mixed sauce. Here, you really get thick pieces of wholesome, firm, mouthful and non-oily eggs instead of those of other Chinese restaurants which they mixed a significant amount of flour into it and heavily fried the eggs in substantial amount of oil.
They use jumbo size of prawns in their dishes which are not easily found in other places. The portions are very good size and really fill your tummy happily 😊😊 Reasonable price given the good quality and tasty food they make. 😁 We will...
Read moreI didn't expect to find any Sichuan food here in Rocklin, but it was a welcome surprise.
The portions are generous and you get your money's worth. It's placed in a cozy spot right near the Studio Movie Grill. so this is a prime date night spot for anyone in the area.
They have a secret menu with all the things you could wish for, especially if spicy Sichuan food is something you wish to try or are craving.
I ordered the combination fried rice, Chongqing Spicy Chicken, and the Pork Intestines with hot chillies. The Pork Intestines are well seasoned with cumin and coriander which do away with any of the smell that typically comes with eating offals. The Chongqing Chicken is wonderfully done and the chilies were fried perfectly. I'm gonna make sure to order it spicier next time hahaha, but that's my personal taste. The waitress that took my order said to let her know if it's too spicy, so this place definitely has a familial environment to it. Definitely a place worth...
