My wife and I stopped at the Rocklin Donuts & Cinnamon, only because we were going to a place nearby, and I wanted an Apple Fritter. We live about 1 hour away. We entered around 6:45 am, and they were busy, but looking at the choices, that's what we needed. They had at least 3 workers at the counter, with some in the back. More than other places. The place was clean, and they were moving fast. The choices seemed like a donut place with a few different varieties.

I started with a dozen donuts for the family we were going to meet. I was randomly picking different flavors. They kept count for me, and the box was big enough that they didn't have to be on top of the others. After the dozen was selected, I asked for my Apple Fritter, which is why we went in. But, as I walked down to pay, I saw this heavenly delight. It was a cinnamon roll with pecans and icing. To add to it, they asked if I wanted additional icing on it. I had to say yes. We’ve been stationed at Beale AFB for almost 4 years and hadn’t found a decent donut shop anywhere…… UNTIL NOW!!! We were so excited to try Donuts & Cinnamon when we heard about them being ranked the Best Donuts in the USA! They did not disappoint, they are so delicious and soft and perfectly fluffy. Not greasy, or stodgy or stale. They are just perfect. We can’t wait to go back and try so much more. My Maa and my niece made the early morning drive from the base to grab the family some fresh donuts one weekend morning and even my family from out of town thought they were delicious. The many different selections they have to offer are sure to please everyone in the family! From what I hear their savory items are really good too.
