Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Rocklin

This should have never happened…we found a piece of sharp metal in one of the slices of pizza. It was underneath the crust clearly stuck to the dough from whatever surface the pizza was prepared on…let’s just call it luck that upon picking up the slice my son felt the metal underneath the slice before he ate from it or else he would have been badly cut. I don’t have time to write reviews or call to complain of these things but this should not even happen at the little $5/pizza place let alone somewhere I just spent $87 for two pizzas. Management needs to address why this happened and make sure it never happens again…you should not have foreign objects in peoples food when your environment is clean and organized as it should be when you are preparing food.

After the manager (Sunny) replied to my review, I never bothered to call them back but he researched to find my number and then called me to apologize personally. He insisted on issuing a refund to remedy the situation and I have to add that I appreciated his perseverance in resolving this issue. I wasn't looking for a refund but hearing him explain everything I could tell he cared not only about the quality of the food but also about the customer service. I have decided to give them another chance in the future...

I gave 5 stars for this visit only. I grew up about a block away from here and grew up eating and playing video games here. Over the past 5 years we were treated rather rude by employees. Today however, we thought we would give it another try. So glad we did. The gal at the register was the cutest little thing that was way more than accommodating and super funny! Wonderful customer service! The pizza? Holy cows! Listen when you go in next time make sure and ask for Dylan to make your pizza. Hands down the best pizza we have ever eaten there and quit frankly better than 99% of the pizza parlors around town. That kid has the " making magic " happen in the kitchen Fingers. Glad we got a monster pizza because we are already eating left overs. As a local business owner myself I would like to tell the new owners of mountain mikes,kudos ! I came here 2 hours before closing time with LITERALLY no other customers dinning. A woman named Amanda took our order which was just one medium thin crust pizza with garlic sauce and extra pineapple as the only topping. I repeated this 3 times to her before it was made after she gave the most uncomfortable customer service I've ever seen. After another male employee brought us our burnt medium regular crust pizza with pepperoni on it, I immediately retold HIM the order another 3 times just to have him take it away and come back in 10 minutes to bring me the SAME pizza with just pineapple dumped on it. Heavily disappointed with every thing about this place I told them the order a few more times just to clarify because it seems as no one could hear that but I then requested for a refund which I eventually got after no kind of apology.
