I've been here multiple times and enjoyed most of the Japanese crepes and drinks I've ordered. The seating can be a bit cramped and the wait around 5-10 minutes but overall it's worth it.
So far of the items I've tried here are my current rankings:
Crepes:
$9.50 Angus Beef - "angus short rib, red onion, carrot, red pepper, string bean, spring salad mix, spicy sesame". Good and flavorful
$8.50 Chicken teriyaki - "chicken breast, carrot, red onion, corn, hard-boiled egg, baby spinach, teriyaki sauce, sesame sauce". Close second to the angus beef but tasty
$8.50 Shrimp avocado - "shrimp, red pepper, avocado, carrot, baby spinach, sweet chili sauce, sesame sauce". Good but personally I didn't like that it was a bit sweet; next time I may ask not to have the sweet chili sauce.
Drinks:
$3.95 venti mango green tea - interesting and sweet but not overwhelming
$5.52 iced venti caramel latte - good sized drink but also slightly heavy. We paired it with a green tea to balance it out
$4.45 tall Expresso Chocolate - expresso with chocolate drizzle on top. Good but nothing too exceptional
$3.95 venti peach green tea - this had a nice kick to it and some pulp but it was too sweet for us (not sure why it was much sweeter than the mango, maybe...
I enjoyed going to Amai crepe for dessert after dinner at another restaurant. There is a outdoor parking lot in front of the movie theater if street parking is not available. The restaurant wasnt able to validate the parking, but they were able to give us a discounted ticket for parking so we only paid $1 or $2. I got the Matcha Atsuki which I shared with someone else and I also got the green tea with cheese foam. The green tea with foam was delicious. The tea was lightly sweetened and the foam had a nice savory salty taste which balanced it out very well. The crepe was good as well, and thought portion size was average. I would have struggled to finish it on my own since I came after eating dinner, but if I came on an empty stomach, I probably would have been able to finish it solo. They have a variety of both sweet and savory crepes with options to customize or make your own crepe. I would definitely come back next time to try other flavors and get the green tea...
Read moreShort:This place is great. The coffee lattes are good. The crepes are well filled with delicious combo. They have a high knack for taste combinations. Very high value for the affordable price. One crepe is enough but I had to try a sweet and savory for my own sake.
Honey Lavender Latte: Amazing. Smooth and does not taste like a perfume. Well balanced sweetness and flavor.
Matcha Adzuki crepe: Cute. I didn't read the menu that closely when I ordered this one thinking it would be just matcha cream sauce and some red bean. I was wrong. There were berries, accent pocky sticks, and also matcha ice cream. The attention to detail is top notch and the smiley face is very cute.
Chicken teriyaki crepe: I read the full description this time and I was still wowed. They made sure sauce was there throughout the whole crepe. Corn and hardboiled egg were surprisingly...
