I ordered my lunch online for a noon pick-up time. I was on my lunch break from work so I had very limited time. It was busy when I got there. There were people in line waiting to order and people near the register waiting for their pick-up orders. After about 20 minutes of waiting, one of the staff asked for my name, she then indicated my order was never made because they didnt have the ingredients. They didn't offer any apology or a gift card, they only asked if I wanted another sandwich but at this point I only had enough time on my lunch break to walk back to work. I asked for a refund and was told no refunds are given at the store that I should see a credit back to my card in about 3-5 business days. As of today, still nore credit. I was very disappointed and would have appreciated a phone call or email in advance to let me know they didn't have the ingredients. Contact information is required to place on online order and I'm not sure why they thought it was a good move to have the customer go to store and wait 20 minutes just to be told the order was never made.
Update as of 9/26/21 Although someone from potbelly replied to my review requesting I send them an email, no one ever replied to the email. Since I never recieved the refund I had to go through the hassle of disputing the charge...

As I approached the door, a lady entered before me, so, I thought they were in service. As soon as I entered, a man behind the counter said in a not so friendly tone, "We're closed!" Before I could even react, he said again, "We're closed Sir, turnaround." I can't help but believe that that man would have responded differently had I looked like him. As an 62 year old fully grow man, a simple, "Sorry Sir, we're not open yet, but we will be at *," would have been appreciated. I didn't need him to tell me to "turn around" as if I were going to rob the place. Read moreThis is the second time my order got screwed up. The first time I asked for a salad with no blue cheese. And I got blue cheese on it. You know how hard it is to pick off blue cheese.
Now I just ordered a turkey and swiss with bacon, lettuce and pickles. I got a plain turkey with lettuce and mayonnaise. I don't know whether they they can't hear when you give them the order but it's two for two. My orders have gotten screwed up. Potbelly needs to change their system.
It's unfortunate because I do like their sandwiches but I can't get the sandwich I want!
I filled out the survey on the receipt and asked for a refund on my salad and got no answer. I'm going to fill it out again and ask for a refund.
