Gong Cha The Spot — Restaurant in Rockville

I like Gong Cha but not this particular location. My boyfriend got a Mango Green Tea with 100% sugar and 30% ice and it tasted like plain green tea with no sugar. I could taste some mango syrup on the bottom of the cup but it was so little it might as well have not been there. I don’t understand how they got it so wrong??!! The only explanation I can come up with is that they read the sugar % wrong AND they added the mango syrup as an afterthought since it wasn’t even mixed in properly. I don't normally write reviews, but this place has annoyed me enough to finally write one. I love boba tea, and when I get it I expect to actually have boba in it. But five times now, I've gotten a drink without any boba in it, despite paying for it. This has happened with different servers over a couple months, so it's not just one bad server. It took over 30 minutes for me to finally get my drink. I watched as 17 other orders all got served before me and had to inquire after my drink status multiple times. They also charge convenience fees for cards, and as expensive as drinks are, I would not want to order multiple drinks from here and wait even longer. If I could have canceled my order, I would have.
