Tommy's Place — Restaurant in Rocky River

I was passing by Tommy's Summer Place 3 days ago as I was exploring my Airbnb's neighborhood when I smelled some wonderfully tasty scents coming from that vicinity. So I thought the next day I'm gonna go and have lunch there. I was not disappointed. This is a cozy little bar inside what looks like a normal looking residential house. I did not explore the place and did not visit the bathrooms but I did get the feeling that there were some renovations that were taking place. I sat at the bar and ordered a Cali Chicken Flat bread that has pepperoni, avocado, cilantro and red peppers on it and it comes with a Chipotle something Aioli dipping sauce. I ordered it without the red peppers and a Coke and started waiting. While watching a college football game on the flat screen in front of me I noticed the popcorn machine in the room behind the door that I came in through. There were some other games you might find at a State Fair in that room as well. I asked the female bar tender how much was the popcorn and she said it was Free! YAY 😃!!! She had just put more corn in the kettle and after getting some I went back to top off my plastic container with more hot, freshly popped goodness....better than in the theater!

My flat bread was taking an exceptionally long time so I asked about the E.T.A. and she said apparently they had messed it up so they had started to make another one but no matter. I had freshly made popcorn and when that flat bread Did arrive.....Holy Cow! It was Way more than I had expected so it was Well worth the wait 😊👍. It was Delicious 😋 and I could only eat half of it, lol. Got the rest to go and had it that night. I'm curious as to what other tasty food they make at this place so if I'm at Rocky River, Ohio again, I will definitely drop by for...

This was a horrible experience. Took my family for Mother's Day special. 2 fish specials came out rancid. We could smell the fish was bad as it came to the table. We sent the fish back. Asked for rib dinner to replace them. This took 25 minutes. During that time the cook, and bus boy came out to give us dirty looks. 2 drunk regulars than were sitting at tables and getting confrontational with other customers.

No manager or owner came out to apologize for the problems. The replacement meal was not taken off the bill either.

DO NOT EVER EAT HERE! I have never written a review before but I felt this is my civic duty to help other people save their money who are looking for a decent meal. You are better off with gas...

Debbie and I stop there after driving around looking at Christmas lights. What a fun place. They have ski ball games there. Ski ball was a particular favorite of mine.
