I have been eating at this restaurant for years. I pretty much order the same items because my kids are picky eaters. Last night I got my order delivered and fed my family. As I went to get more shrimp fried rice, I scooped out a chunk of rice and lo and behold something with legs sticking up falls out on to my plate. I was so scared I screamed and ran. I asked my mom if she could look and see what it was and she flipped it over with a fork and identified it as a ROACH! I was so disgusted because I had already ate two servings of that rice and this was at the bottom of the container. I immediately took pictures and video footage of what is possibly the most horrific/disgusting restaurant experience I ever had. When I went to take it to the restaurant in the morning to show the manager Lee, she told me they don’t have roaches! I was livid because clearly you do! I brought back 54 dollars worth of food, most of it uneaten because I refuse to eat from a restaurant who would sell/serve me a dead roach. I truly hate when someone insults you after you have an horrible customer experience, especially one like that. I tried to keep my cool but roaches carry diseases and lay eggs! This can harm people! I’m not sure how this happened but I hope they do not continue to serve people until they have addressed their issues! I would not recommend eating here until they have taken a more serious measure to address their...
Read moreDelivery was quick the guy was nice. I thought the food looked okay esp. Egg drop soup but everything is really greasy and heavy the soup has either a little off taste from water, or the container, but was beautifully cooked otherwise. I like the classic chinese fried wings but i havent found well cooked wings in years ultimately the wings have right flavor or marinade but tooo greasy. The combo fried rice the shrimp was tasty but beef and chicked doesnt look fresh and although they gave me a lot which is great but it lacks freshness needs some ginger and scallions to cut the heaviness.. all things considered this place is still better than anywhere youll find in edgewater but im reaally trying to find that classical chinese place where everything tastes fresh light and portrays the concept of chinese cuisine. Im an herbalist and a chef whos very into asian cuisine so just being particular. I will say i may not even eat the $10 orange chicken because its one big mushy glob and no crunch feels boiled... and my throats burning which may be msg or something in the food. Quick delivery, far better than edgewater chinese, but ulti.ately greasy and heavy. Thank you for...
Read moreI will not lie, I've eaten at this place 3 times and have tried 6 dishes. This restaurant is nearly bottom of the barrel for Chinese food, and to be honest, it's in the top 4 worst Chinese places I've ever had and I've lived in many states across the country.
They do not use any kind of chiles in their meals and just dump sugar in everything when it is not appropriate. You want ginger chicken? You'll get fried dough smothered in sweat sauce instead. You want Ma Pao Tofu? You'll get soft tofu once again, smothered in spiceless sweet sauce. It's like everything is candy to them and they're just trying to give us diabetes and high cholesterol. I may as well just have Wendy's because I'll get diabetes and high cholesterol but at least the food would taste good.
I'm regretful that I ever wasted my hard earned money here when the chefs do not even know how to properly cut a bell pepper. A bastardization of Chinese food, and a trap for any residents new to the area. Please, stay away at all costs.
If you do go. Stick with the fried rice or...
