Speaking only for myself (and I check out this campsite at least once a week}, I think the Touhy Park Camping site looks good this year. The tents seem bigger, roomier, and many look very new. Some could accommodate a small family. So there are a few collapsed tents remaining... those are an eyesore and should be removed. I am liking the laundry on the trees (there is a laundromat at the northwest corner - no need to use the dryers) and I hear there are now port-a-potties available. Also I think Touhy Park is a desirable location because the large trees provide shade and some protection from the elements. I give this campsite 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I am planning at least 2 overnight stays there in late August and am recommending camping there to my neighbors as a Rogers Park...

Organized and pick-up games of basketball softball tennis and soccer are easily accommodated. The community center offers solid auxiliary support for additional leisure activities. The whole park is not to big, maybe the size of one city block, but large enough to take brake from your daily life to look at some greenery for some peace and serenity. Place changed dramatically..all the homeless people in the tents ..unpleasant and most likely unsafe to walk thru the park. TOUHY HOMELESS CAMPGROUND... It is a new name for once family...
