Had a very nice dinner at La Choza! As an FYI, this is more authentic Mexican food and less tex-mex style. If you're looking for super cheesy and saucy, this probably isn't the right restaurant for you. But if you're looking for great Mexican food with an emphasis on freshness and flavorful meats, this is the place for you!

If you like big, delicious portions for a fair price, then try La Choza next time you're craving Mexican food! We tried the Grilled Salmon & Carne Asada plates, and they were absolutely tantalizing and filling. The tortillas were fresh, and the atmosphere overall was authentic. It's a quaint spot that I recommend!

I enjoyed our business buffet luncheon today. of 50+ people and everyone was quite pleased with the food and service. A special “Thanks” to Minerva who was our terrific server. She did a wonderful job! Outstanding food!

We ordered through GrubHub at 7:15 pm. It said it would deliver to us between 7:40 and 7:50. It’s Cinco de Mayo, so we expect it to be a little late, but at 8:35 pm we decided to call. The lady on the phone told us that it was on the way. We believed her and let it go. 9:05 rolls around and we’ve still not gotten anything. The restaurant is 0.5 miles from our house, so I have a hard time believing that the order is taking that long to be delivered. We call back and can’t get through to talk to someone until 9:15, at which point she tells us again that it is on the way in someone’s car as we speak. We hang up. 9:30 rolls around and still no food. We call back again to cancel the order and the lady hangs up on me. I call again and get no explanation as to why our food is almost 2 hours late and finally convince her to cancel the order.

I’ll let my experience speak for itself. I understand being busy on Cinco de Mayo, but this restaurant lied to us multiple times and then wouldn’t even tell us where our food was or why it was taking so long. I’m happy to give people the benefit of the doubt, but all these employees did was lie. From the beginning it was all lies. Just be aware when you’re...

To be honest, I’ve been here and my favorite thing to order is the chicken taco dinner. The other tacos are not as good if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food. The taste leans towards Mexican Americanized food. Another thing to note here is that the quality of their tacos are ok. I wanna say they can do better by refining their dishes so they come out better quality because the tacos I had today tasted like water, with halfway cooked tortillas and the meat was slightly burnt. I had one ordered del pastor taco and 2 asada with onions and cilantro but instead they gave me the watery lettuce with tomato. The ingredients did not mix well and were rather tasteless. I haven’t had any of their other dishes, so this is not to say all their food is ok. This is a good place for late night and drunk eats. Food needs...

Very good food! No doubt about that! But... service can be extremely slow. While I am sure they are accommodating the families that come to enjoy conversation and are likely to spend more time, those who are looking to have an enjoyable tasty meal in a fair amount of time endure long waits for getting the check after the meal. As is common with family Mexican restaurants, you are greeted with a basket of chips and 3 salsas. I am one that can take a lot of heat in my spicy foods but there needs to be at least 1 milder option of their 3 salsas. The mildest is clearly HOT with each one getting progressively hotter. I urge for their cooks to create a salsa with great robust flavors but keep it milder for those who enjoy the food and not...
