This place has gone downhill. The quality of the food and taste is awful. The practice of food safety and sanitation is not followed at all here! The tamales have very little meat/sauce in them, wrapped in dry, tasteless, sour masa. The fruit tamales were the same--dry, tasteless colored masa. The chicken is not fresh at all, has an odd sour taste, the meat that is going bad kinda of taste. They surely don't use the freshest and high quality ingredients for their food. YUCK! 🤢🤮 Save your money! I don't understand how this place is still in business. The health department should have slapped them with food violations! The cleanliness of the restaurant inside looks greasy and unclean. The people who own and operate this restaurant are rude and don't care about making their customers sick. I can't see how other people are giving them 5 stars for food, service, etc... This restaurant must be paying those people to give them 5 stars!! If you enjoy a good dose of 🤮food poisoning and spending long hours on toilet 🚽 from eating here. This is your place to visit! Mmm, Yum!! Otherwise, you may want to reconsider your options and go to a better...
Read moreWe went out for a late breakfast, but the restaurant we went to had shut down (A&G's). This place was a couple of doors down with several people coming in and out, so we thought we'd take a chance. Not a breakfast place, the place does a good carryout business as well as table service. It has a family feeling where you could tell there were a lot of regular customers. It's a clean but not a fancy place. The booths could be found at a fast food place but the food there is much, much better. There is a limited main menu of tamales, soup and chicken enchiladas, but all look like they are done well. Decent coffee too. I had the chicken enchiladas molé, which was both generous and delicious! I liked that it only came with rice and not the side of refried beans, which I don't care for. The molé sauce was rich and fresh, with a little bite. I'm going back...
Read moreHad to pay for a tamal de rajas that had no cheese at all and the tamal de elote don’t even come prepared they just give you crema and salsa -.- like the whole point of a tamal de elote should be to be prepared like a elote with everything on it. Customer service sucks too and overly priced… and where I sat today looked like a smashed roach on the wall. But yet again it’s rogers park ghetto and infested with rats everyone never again… I would not say the best tamales of Guerrero and to add at the end when paying they have little chocolate candies for you to take there was four different kinds the lady was like it one per person. Rudest service ever never should you say that to a paying customer like you barely have business during the week who cares how many I take there’s no one coming in your restaurant and...
