Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Rogers

I put in an order online to pick up for my fiancé and I's 5th anniversary dinner since applebees is where we had our first date. We travel full-time and every big chain restaurant we go to here (NW Arkansas) is horrible, Applebee's included. I put my order in at 3:30 for pickup at 5:30, I followed instructions on the website to let them know how far away I was and all that thinking it would be quicker to pick up. When I got there, I could see inside that there were only 3-4 tables, used their online website to let them know I was there. Waited 10 minutes before calling only to be hung up on. And I could see the girl inside, hang up the phone, with no attempt to actually answer. So I called immediately after and another girl answered and she said that they were putting the last few items in the bag. So I waited 5 more minutes until the other two carside pickup spots also had people waiting. Saw a girl inside answer the phone, and sure enough the lady in the pickup spot next to me was also calling. Thankfully, as the first there I was also the first to receive my food, and I checked to see how warm it was. The bag and food containers were cold like it had been sitting there since 3:30. When I got home, they COMPLETELY forgot the fries to the burger, all the food was not only cold but hard too. I even got a dessert since it was a special occasion. I got the brownie slice and scoop of ice cream. The brownie was the size of a quarter, and there was only a tablespoon of ice cream. When we went to eat the dessert it was rock hard, we refused to eat it thinking there had to be something wrong with it. It was obvious that they do not care about the to go orders thinking you'll get home and not want to drive back and complain. Reading other reviews, it seems like the actual service inside isn't great either. When we showed up around 8pm the restaurant was occupied with one table.. should've been our sign to turn around and go to chili's. No workers in sight. We got seated after about 2 minutes and our server was good but not much knowledge with the bar menu. During our time here we got the loaded waffle frys for an appetizer which were delicious! 4 stars for that but when my burger came out the bacon and patty were overcooked. Overall all just an okay experience at our table, service was way too slow for us being 1 of 3 tables in here. We observed a couple come in and sat at the bar and about 2 minutes later a group of 3 come in and sit at the bar. I noticed nobody was attending to them, which again way too slow for that. As a former server and a current restaurant manager I would be waiting at the door for customers. The bartender came out after they had been waiting awhile and turned right back to the kitchen in which the 3 people left immediatly after that. She came around the corner with waters which i assume were for them but she never greeted them or said "hey guys im gonna go grab some waters I'll be right back". The couple sat at the bar alittle longer but again she was back there for 5 minutes and never said anything to them while they were patiently waiting. We stopped by for a late supper and ordered 2 ayce specials and 2 soft drinks. We were seated next to the windows, and most of the restaurant was empty. The restaurant was so cold that even the staff wore winter coats. We kept our coats on and still froze. The food was awful, except for the shrimp. The shrimp was tasty, perfectly prepared, and the shrimp to the breading ratio was much better than expected. The riblets were so bony that it took twenty minutes for one bite of meat. The boneless wings were way overcooked and so hard that they were inedible. We ordered a second order of the boneless wings to see if they would improve, and they did not. We never received the Cole Slaw. The staff was very unprofessional in their appearance. Most wore jeans or leggings and a t-shirt. The manager wore jeans and a flannel shirt. The bartender looks as if she hasn't brushed her hair in this decade, but she was the only one who had on what resembled a uniform. Most of the waitstaff gathered at the end of the bar talking and using their phones. We were very disappointed with the wait time for food. There was a total of 8 people in the restaurant, and they had all been served. Our order should have taken 3-4 minutes to prepare. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. This is frozen food that is either dumped in a fryer or a microwave. I would not recommend it at all! I will not be returning. There are at least a dozen better restaurants within...
