Received a Gift Card in a name-draw, so thought we would go here on Christmas Eve as we had no plans. They were moderately busy, but there was plenty of seating. We were sat down at a small booth with people behind me and to the side. I was very uncomfortable. I am not super tall, but at 5'9 felt super cramped. The booth was awful. Why were they cramming everyone into small sections with so much available seating? I spotted a booth/table combo nearby (very close) and moved myself after waiting a few moments. Our server had put some effort into looking festive. I did not catch her name. She had her make-up and hair done nicely. However, I think she was annoyed that I moved seating. I told her I was uncomfortable over at the booth and apologized to her. She said something to the effect of 'no problem' and then asked what about the seating I did not like. We were still in her section as she helped those around us, but she did not bring us our food nor one refill. The two other people that did were very sweet. We did not get offered unlimited fries which was the one thing I was looking forward to. I sat without a soda for a bit. What food we did get was okay. Nothing crazy. I had fish that was so greasy my stomach felt gross after. My partner had a 'Souther Charm Burger' in which was cooked properly. The only complaint about the burger is that it seems over-priced. Same as my food. I think we spent about 40.00, not counting tip for Fish/Fries & Burger/Fries with 2 Sodas. Unlimited Fries may have helped, but nobody even asked. Not worth it. Glad this was paid for mostly by a gift card. Thanks to the nice ladies who did bring us food and the refill. Our server did not tell me bye nor thanks when I left but told my partner (he was a few steps behind). I felt like I got the brush-off all because I wanted to sit...
Read moreFood was awful. My milkshake was good and the server and manager were so sweet. It’s a good thing they had southern hospitality because I really didn’t think my food was fit to eat. As a management professional, I understand staffing concerns. However, after reading the long list of others with similar issues - there’s a bigger problem than staffing. I really believe the cheese on my salad was beyond its time to be stored because it was OLD - hard and sour. 🤮
Someone with me ordered all of the fries extra crispy. The cooks probably just refried them rather than putting fresh ones in the fryer longer than you’re supposed to. They were so salty! I understand that out of convenience when you need to manage your time, but it’s actually toxic to refry them due to the nature of oil and the ungodly amount of salt. What’s worse is that I ordered my salad without bacon, but got bacon anyway. I seriously just don’t know how long the salad had been premade. I was thinking that the whole time so when I read a lot of similar reviews about others getting sick, I know it’s not just me.
I hope the big dogs aren’t too hard on their team for this, because it looks like they aren’t given the proper tools to manage the place. I don’t know how they stay in business. Our server had been working all day and it was obvious the manager was genuinely concerned about our needs. Is this what all Red Robin’s are like? My first revisit in 10 years and I am reminded why I stay away. After visiting, I’m grateful to eat at places I would have previously...
Read moreThe food was better than usual. We used our free dessert coupon and got the fudge filled chocolate chip cookies. We really enjoyed the cookies. They were soft and chewy. The cookies were cold on the outside and the fudge in the middle was warm. It was a nice cold/warm treat. While tasting good, the garlic fries were sloppy, it looked like someone spit the garlic into one spot rather than sprinkle on the fries. I really liked my fish. I would give 4 stars if the service was better. I think this Red Robin needs to switch to a better system. Our waitress took our order, she was friendly and polite. But had another staff member bring us our drinks. And another staff member bring out our food. The waitress didn't really do much. She took our order. Inputted it into her tablet. We needed drink refills, it took a while, too long before she noticed. While our glasses were obviously empty she asks if we need refills. She typed in her tablet for drink refills so another staff member brought our refills. The same for a cup of dipping sauce and for more fries, typed into her tablet for another staff member to bring it. What was really annoying was when we asked for the to go boxes another staff member brought them. The boxes were so small we would have had to break the cookies into 3 pieces for it to fit. We needed 3 full size to go boxes but because of their multi staffed system they brought insufficient sized containers. When I have 4 or 5 different staff members wait on me, who does my tip go...
