Read moreThis bar advertises that it's open until 2:00 A.M., but my friend and I were turned away when we tried to enter at 12:59 A.M. The bouncer told us they don’t let anyone in after 1:00 A.M., even though we arrived before that time and were sober—just hoping to wind down the night with a quick drink and conversation.
To make matters worse, we saw two women arrive after us via Uber and get let in. When we asked why, we were told they had “already been here,” despite witnessing them arrive for the first time. It was clear they were friends with the bouncer - one of them stood next to him chatting for a while. I understand showing loyalty to regulars, but it’s not a great look when others are being turned away.
While we were in the parking lot waiting for our Uber, my friend exasperatedly said to me that she needed to get out of this state. The same woman who was chatting with the bouncer shouted all the way from the front door, “Yeah you SHOULD leave” in a condescending and antagonistic tone. The whole interaction - combined with the overall vibes - felt racially charged.
If this bar enforces a strict cutoff for entry—one full hour before closing—that’s their prerogative. But they need to be transparent about it. Either update your listed hours or CLEARLY state on Google, your website, and your socials that new guests won’t be admitted after 1:00 A.M. It would save people from wasting money on Ubers and the frustration of showing up just to be...
Read moreI walk in and it's pretty busy, no problem, I don't mind waiting my turn. After 20 or so minutes of no one even glancing in my direction I ask a bartender nearby VERY politely if i could get served. I guess she was too busy making a drink to answer like a normal service employee. She immediately snaps pretty loudly at me to be patient like I'm a dog. I don't frequent bars very often because I'm not a big drinker so I was unsure of how their system worked. Considering I was ignored for 20 minutes and I just got off of my 12 hour shift standing all day, I don't think it's outrageous to just ask very politely. The bartender comes back to see what I wanted to order like nothing happened so I told her off. I'm assuming this was her manager who came back to tell me they won't serve me because of what I said. She said she would talk to the bartender about how she handled things but she didn't seem like she really cared all that much about the situation. I guess they can't handle being treated how they treat their own customers. I work at a restaurant. I know full well how these jobs can be. They have to deal with grouchy people all day which is why I made sure I was very polite so I don't add on to their stress. I don't mind if service is slow or if I have to wait. But, I'd at least like to know if I'm gonna get a drink within the hour. I gave them my patience and respect but I guess that's not really worth a whole...
