El Celaya — Restaurant in Roland

If you like good tasty Hispanic cuisine then goto El Toro in Muldrow. I have wasted money at El Celaya twice now with my Wife and truthfully the only good thing is the Atmosphere and the service is okay. The food however both times has had no flavor. The first time about a year ago we ordered chicken fajitas. The chicken was fully cooked and sliced but didnt have any flavor and the onions were under cooked. Today for Lunch we (me and my wife) went again and we tried the enchiladas which yet again was bland, we substitued the green sauce for white queso and was confused how you can make queso taste water downed, literally Taco Mayo has better cheese dip. The tortilla was stale and not even put to a flame and not a hot plate in sight. Honestly both times we have left feeling like we wasted money. 1st time shame on you 2nd time is on me for knowing better. Lastly the restraunt is advertised as "authentic" Mexican, but in my 30.years I have never left a Hispanic spot and been disappointed until I ate at El Celaya. Seriously save your money goto La Huerta, El Toro. The Lady who just opened Birrieria La Jefa on Garrison has WAY better...

Def worst place I have ate when it comes to service went to get food didn't get greeted at the door instead they just kept talking and ignored we were standing there when my father asked if we seated our selves they got an attitude and said yes finally ordered our food asked for plain chicken and he asked for beans with his meal and cheese on top when they came out wrong we asked them to be fixed the waiter said you want it fixed my father said what do you think he got agitated and walked out as he was walking out he saw them just raking the stuff off the plate. I had never been here before even though it is a short drive from where I grew up. I passed it a hundred times and never noticed it. The restaurant looks unassuming in appearance and the inside is laid out to accommodate I would say 50-60 people dining at a time. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and you could tellthey had a good rapport with their regular clients. The menu featured a lot of your typical Mexican dishes with a few speciality items thrown in here and there. I really wasn't expecting to be impressed with my meal to tell you the truth. But oh my goodness. It was delicious! There were 4 of us who dined that evening and each got something different. The plates full of goodness were pretty much devoured!
