Curb appeal is everything. Sure, you can craft the finest drinks or cook the most delectable dishes, but if that artistry isnāt reflected in your establishmentās presentation, you risk losing potential customers at first glance. Coffee House 77, however, excels in this department. Driving toward Fort Smith, I found myself craving coffee but uninspired by the usual suspects. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed this charming little cafĆ©. Its inviting setupāwith patio chairs, lush plants, and a chic black-and-white faƧadeāspoke volumes before I even tasted a drop. The line of eager customers was the clincher; I knew I had to stop.
Now, hereās where things get real. I drive a sizable work truck, so the drive-thru wasnāt an option. Instead, I parked and approached the walk-up window. Let me set the scene: Iām in my usual work attireāa bright lemon-yellow safety shirt and well-worn jeans. I know the stereotype; construction workers arenāt typically associated with $5 coffee habits. But hereās the thing: we have standards too. Expensive tastes arenāt exclusive to those pulling up in luxury SUVs wearing designer labels.
I mention this because I detected a flicker of judgment from the lady taking my order. Her demeanor wasnāt overtly unfriendly, but there was a subtle coolness, as if my presence didnāt quite fit the expected mold. Itās fine; Iāve encountered it before. I didnāt dwell on it because my focus was singular: securing a caramel mocha with an extra espresso shot.
The verdict? Fantastic. The flavor was rich and indulgent, the aroma an intoxicating prelude to each sip. This drink wasnāt just coffeeāit was a testament to the craft.
So, thank you, Coffee House 77, for honoring the sanctity of a well-made brew. With any luck, Iāll find myself working in the area again, and you can bet Iāll be back for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe coffee was very good. It tasted great and the food was just as good. The only thing that got me was the attitude. The girl taking the order was fine, seemed new but was sweet and taking down the order. We have never eaten or drank here before so I asked her what muffins they have left and which one was the best out of those. The girl taking the order turned and asked the girl behind her and the attitude this girl gave was nasty. I wasn't sure if it was towards us or the girl taking the order but either way it should not have been there. It was very rude, all 4 people in my car were disgusted after witnessing not only the disgusted annoyed face she made but hearing her talk to that girl with that attitude. Maybe it was an off day for her but definitely left a bad taste in our mouths during the altercation, as well as on the way home. Don't get me wrong, good food and great coffee but attitude of particular workers should be addressed even if it wasn't directed at the customer it shouldn't be at her...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe coffee here is Topeca out of Tulsa, and they do it pretty good justice. The milk was a little over foamed, but the strong espresso was forgiving to that. The waffle sticks were super yummy! I liked that they didnt microwave the waffle sticks, but reheated in the...
