Upon entering the establishment, we were pleased to find no wait. The hostess promptly seated us and took our drink orders. She was super nice and timely on refilling our drinks.
Next, she inquired about appetizers, and we opted for the bang bang shrimp, which had a delightful flavor. Curious to try something new, we requested the crawfish, which impressed us with its tasty sauce, a pleasant surprise as neither of us had tried crawfish before.
For our main course, we ordered the lunch-size shrimp boil, which arrived exactly as described in the glowing reviews. However, as we began to eat, we noticed the shrimp seemed undercooked and had an unpleasant mushy texture. Upon closer inspection, one shrimp appeared visibly gray, indicating it wasn't fully cooked.
We promptly informed the staff, and a guy, whose role we were unsure of, took our food and asked if we wanted it recooked. The staff kindly offered to remake our meals. The second attempt, however, lacked the original quality. The shrimp were now properly cooked but lacked the initial tenderness, and the sauce had a noticeably different taste, with an overwhelming saltiness.
To compensate for the inconvenience, we were offered a dessert, a gesture we appreciated. However, given the danger of consuming undercooked food, we felt a discount off the meal would have been more appropriate compensation.
Upon receiving the check, we were also disappointed to find they did not offer a military discount.
Regrettably, later that night, we experienced stomach discomfort and loose stools, which we suspect may have been related to the meal.
Overall, while the service was attentive and the initial flavors promising, the inconsistency in food quality and the subsequent discomfort left us with mixed feelings about our...
Read moreI’ll start with the good, some of the best tasting Italian/Seafood that we’ve had in the area in a long time. The quality and portions are great! It’s a new place and they’re still figuring some stuff out but I encourage you to at least come and give them a taste. We spoke to the owner for a little while afterwards and he’s very nice and was very receptive to our feedback, chef even came out twice to make sure everything was good.
What to expect… it is not a full service dining experience. You walk in and order at a counter and then they bring your food to your table. When it isn’t busy if you order cocktails and an appetizer there is a chance that your drinks, appetizers, and food will all come out around the same time. We brought that to the attention of the owner because that is what happened to us. They should almost submit that part of the order first, keep the tab open, and then enter the second part of the order so that the first part gets a head start. They could also do with having a floater to see if anyone sitting needs an extra cocktail or anything after their food comes out, nobody wants to have to get up and wait in line again for another drink.
The food- the bang bang shrimp was some of the best we’ve had and that’s putting them up against Five Star downtown and Shuckers in WF. I had the blue crab ravioli and there were plenty of ravioli stuffed with a generous amount of crab, the sauce was delicious. My wife had the Granchio pasta and more than enough seafood tossed in a very flavor Cajun butter.
The food was great I really wish it was a full dining experience though, especially for the price and quality. I encourage you to give them a try though, we will definitely be back to try the...
Read moreWould not recommend. I’ve had this establishment twice. The first time by seafood was over cooked and the lobster was tough. I decided to give a second chance and was even more disappointed. I ordered a boil bag with crab legs and lobster tail, this comes with 2 potatoes and 2 corn. When I got home to unpack my food, which is a not a close drive away, I did not have lobster and was missing a potato/corn. This is insane considering they charge $19 for the lobster. I didn’t even mention the side’s originally bc it was small compared to the lobster.
When I called back the woman who answered (Fon) didn’t seem surprised at all and was very nonchalant. Her response gave the impression these type of mix ups happen frequently. She took my name and number and told me to come pick up this missing food. I told her I was 20+ mins away and she said I had to come back that day. There was no other attempts to make up for the situation.
When I picked up my missing food, staff was again unfazed and simply gave my what they originally left out but made no attempts to make up for it even tho it was their mistake.
When factoring that AFTER the tip I originally gave my total was almost $60, I only got HALF of my order, and THEN had to drive back to the establishment this was a piss poor experience.
I tried to give a fair shot since I enjoy seafood and there aren’t many non fried seafood places in the area. Not worth the money or hassle. Maybe this is why the room has been empty the two...
