This place was horrible I tried to order flatas and the guy said they had them and I asked what meat and he said we don’t have them so he gave me a different menu and he gave me a Gios menu and there burgers and fries look like crap so I decided to order steak tacos and there steak tacos tasted like raw meat and the steak came out cold the beans were like microwave beans and the rice was box rice it was so bad and I got enchiladas and I asked for chicken and red sauce on it and when they brought it the enchiladas were quesadilla’s just filled up with hard cheese so it seems like the cheese had been sitting out on the table for years and it was covered in red sauce and my cousin ordered chili Reno and they tried to give us jalapeño with cheese stuffed inside of it and we waited 20 minutes just for them and they got it wrong two times they were only two people working and the girl gave us a dirty look and it was so expensive the total was $60 dollars for only three people it was so high and there food was gross and I went to use the bathroom and the walls looked bad the toilets were gross it was so bad the sodas there were three dollars for a small can and the paper towels would usually be in a container but they weren’t they were just a roll one roll like a paper towel roll it was really bad there if you want to eat here go to the Joilet one instead of this one it was so bad everything the food service the bathroom everything ! So good luck for anyone who eats here me and my cousin are sick so I recommend don’t eating here at all I will never eat here ever again this was so bad by far the worst restaurant I ate...
Read moreThis is an interesting restaurant, it's 2 in 1. There are two businesses sharing the restaurant. You can sit and order from either menu. My review is for Mariscos El Costeno. Everything was delicious. I ordered the ceviche mix. My only gripe is there isn't enough lemon and cilantro for my taste so I asked for some on the side and the waitstaff happily obliged. The horchata here is off the hook. My son hates the stuff and he will only drink it here. It's more vanilla in flavor and less cinnamon. It's refreshing. The tacos are also delicious. We love tacos and have become snobbs due to all the delicious Mexican restaurants in Chicago. The tacos here are worthy, meats are tender and the salsa is delicious.ask for the red one if you like super spicy.
My one negative and unfortunately it may not be the restaurants fault entirely but there is sewage smell at the front of the restaurant as you enter. I have been to this establishment three times and the smell persists. Once passed the front door, the smell no longer exists and you are completely...
Read moreMy friends and family visited Mariscos El Costeño this evening and we all had a pleasant experience 😊 Mariscos El Costeño brings a different spin to seafood. 😋 They bring their own taste and style to every dish they prepare and make sure to incorporate the Veracruz style of seafood. The atmosphere/ music was enjoyable 👍🏼 The piña colada I had was made perfect! Also, the service we received was very attentive and friendly. If you are around the area, make sure you stop by and try their...
