I visited the establishment last night and ordered a large onion ring. The rings weren’t thoroughly done, and the breading was mostly mushy. I threw most of them away.
To top it off, the young man / cashier with the locs and very dark skin, was all over the place…
He threw away my receipt (without asking if I wanted it), barely had any service skills (which may just be his personality), barely reached out the window to scan Apple Pay, and my member rewards barcode.
Just all over the place.
The cherry on top was him grabbing a few napkins, literally placing them ON HIS SWEATER to “roll them down,” RIGHT BEFORE placing them in the bag. WHO does this at a FOOD establishment?
As I saw him place the napkins in the bag, I told him, through the window “No napkins. I don’t heed the napkins.”
How unsanitary! I don’t eat off of my OWN shirt, and I KNOW where I’ve been, and what I do. Why would any person think that was okay to do around someone’s food?
The onion ring bag was laid down, and not upright, but I didn’t eat the onion rings that were outside of its packaging, at the bottom of the bag, or any that could’ve made contact with the napkins. (Again, since the rings weren’t done, anyway, I threw most of them away.)
Lastly, I asked for my receipt. He said, “I got you,” then prints me someone else’s receipt that had onion rings ON it, but was like $30. He was just allllllllll over the place.
Very unprofessional, unsanitary, unaware.
I used to come here every night, recently, but took like 2 months off because the last time I came at night, and several visits before that, they’d give me 1/2 full fries. (Also, they would overcook the fish sandwiches, habitually, so I stopped ordering them.)
But anyway, the last time the night shift shorted my fries by 1/2, I had had enough; I requested the manager, a refund, and hadn’t revisited them until recently.

Read moreI come to White Castle in Romeoville off Normantown usuall twice a month if not more. Usually, as a family we have a great experience. We order the same thing so I am very familiar with the products we recieve. Tonight, I chose White Castle, separate from my family and I was very disapointed! I ordered the Impossible slider combo and got a regular beef patty in the regular orange chesse burger box and was told it was an impossible slider. Impossible burgers are thicker than beef patties and, again I am such a regular I can tell the difference. The employee who made the order was very rude! I asked if they were out of the impossible boxes, she said no, so why was it in the wrong box? I explained I can tell the difference between a beef patty and a Impossible patty I eat them often. I askd for the manager, and Anna was just as rude and did not acknowlege why this was a big problem! If the staff think it's okay to lie to customers about what they are getting, I can't trust White Castle anymore. All except 2 of my onion rings were crushed and torn apart and served in pieces. The cheeseburgers had less onions than normal and the cheese wasn’t placed centered on two. This was not a pleasant meal. I want a refund. I called the store and left a voicemail since no one answered. Customer # 348 minute wait they were all crushed as I’d they were smashed prior to cooking and not firm at alll. My second side was no better All except 2 of my onion rings were crushed and torn apart and served in pieces.
