Where do I start? When I initially started I was EXTREMELY nervous simply because it’s been awhile since I’ve actually been back in school. Five years ago, when I obtained my LPN I gave myself a year to get back in school to obtain my RN but unfortunately LIFE happened. Over the years, I’ve actually loss two people whom were very important to my growth process and loss sense of hope. If that even makes sense at all to you. Pretty much I just lived life day by day ok with being mediocre because I felt as if my biggest support was no longer here. A year ago I was reminded why I even decided to become a Nurse when I actually was placed in a situation to work with nurses who obviously lacked the compassion needed to be an amazing nurse. Immediately I reached out to who is now my advisor Chelsey and she has been nothing but truly AMAZING. Even though I’m still on this journey im confident I have the right people in place to help guide me on this journey. TRUST ME when I say it’s not easy I have both my good and bad days but every day I take a step back and remind myself of my ultimate goal in place is to position myself so I could be a advocate for those who may not be able to advocate for themselves. If you’re considering Rasmussen as the place to further your educational needs don’t hesitate to reach out to one of the advisors and please don’t allow any negative influences hinder you from moving forward with your growth process. I guarantee you...
Read morePaparone was my maiden name but I'm not sure how to change it on here lol. My name is Alexandra Everett I am currently enrolled in the CMA program along with my Associates in Health Sciences. My journey began in the spring of 2020. I was iffy about joining Rasmussen because of a past experience with another smaller institute. By smaller I mean it wasn't one of these places that everyone has heard of. I did research and rea reviews from other students and went to an open house and I liked wat I heard. Let me tell you it was one of the best decision of my life. All of the staff is wonderful and truly cares for their students including Andy who is the Academic Dean and is always in touch with his students. He always sends emails reminding students of all the resources they offer if you are struggling in any way. I find he was very personable and really cared for his student accomplishments as he has been where we all are today. The Instructors are fabulous especially Karen Ende f you guys are considering the M.A program. If you are hesitant about making this leap, Don't be! They offer so many resources to help you through the whole program. I was super nervous about this journey because I'm not 22 anymore but they make you feel right at home whether you're 21 or 40. Put yourself first and make changes in your life. You...
Read moreRasmussen is such a wonderful asset in our community! I'm a business coach who serves small business owners, many of whom are just starting out in their businesses and have limited funds and time. Since Rasmussen allows the community to utilize it's classrooms when not in use, free of charge, I am able to lower the cost of my programs so more people can benefit. Their classrooms have everything we need, which allows me to spend less on supplies, and they are bright and roomy and always clean. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and my clients love the time they spend there. The location is also super convenient and easy to get to which saves my clients and myself time during our busy day. Beyond the experience my clients have, I can attest to the fact that Rasmussen students enjoy their college experience. I've been a community partner of the college for 5 or 6 years now and every time I'm in the building I see smiling faces of students. The medical equipment they have to practice their skills is pretty impressive, as is the way the faculty and staff interact with the students. I'm so glad Rasmussen is in our community and so grateful for all they do to support their students. I'm also grateful to them for being so actively involved in our local chambers of commerce and high schools...
