The food was really delicious and the restaurant is nice, but... The sign says King Gyro.

The restaurant has a fast food, walk up and order style. I was bombarded with menus when I entered. 6 large boards crammed with stuff to read. All I wanted was their standard gyro with fries and a drink. I turned my attention to the meals section, but there's only one junior gyro on it. I'm an adult man. Things labeled junior are not appealing to me. The meals section of the menu is all sandwiches and things that aren't gyros.

I then looked at the 5 other menu boards, but still didn't see gyros. I was starting to get miffed. (Note: There was a gyro section, but it was like a side note, and my view was blocked by the pop machine.)

I stood there for a minute trying to figure out how to get a gyro while the entire staff silently stared at me. The place was totally dead and the staff was obviously thirsty for something to do. I finally just asked the guy at the counter if they had real gyros. He assured me they did, so I ordered one with cheese sticks and a Pepsi.

I wish I had seen the price first. I probably would have still ordered it, but I didn't expect it to cost $10, so you can imagine my shock. I thought the guy had just made up a price since the junior gyro meal with fries and a drink is only $8.

I originally wrote here that the gyro was huge, but upon reviewing this, I want to clarify. The regular gyro is a small pita with a mountain of gyro meat on it. Should it be sold for $10? No. Not because they don't give you value for your money. Because it shouldn't be sold at all. A Gyro is a pita sandwich. It's street food that is meant to be eaten with your hands. I'm betting it's not a meal because no one who's been here before orders it. It's impossible to eat as a sandwich without making a catastrophic mess. Alexander would have wept. I ended up having to use a fork and knife. As a Greek, I felt defeated.

Again, it was delicious, but no one on Earth eats pita like a pancake. I came to the gyro king and almost walked out because I couldn't find the gyros, and when I did it seemed like a joke was being played...

Let me verify that I ONLY write a review if I am impressed or very disappointed. I called to order ahead so that I could pick up my food real quick, and I was disappointed right from the start. The woman taking my order literally LAUGHED AT MY NAME after confirming the name I gave her... because a celebrity has the same name.... how that’s funny is beyond me, and unprofessional. I get comments about my name all the time and never in such a rude manor. THEN when I went to pick up my food there was an older gentleman in front of me who clearly does not step outside of his home often as he was hooked up to medical equipment and they were short and snarky to him! I was amazed with disappointment. As I walked up for my order I asked if this was a new company that took over because when I was here last year I was in love with the place! Great food, great staff and great service.... she claims it’s the same company with a new name. A hard thing for me to believe. She spoke so fast and was in such a hurry but the line in the drive though was 2 care, inside the Resturant maybe 3 people and me! Of course there is always something to be done while at work but you would have thought this place was slammed! The rudeness was sooooooo appalling I will NOT go back and can’t believe I even took this food home in the first place. So disappointed. And to the staff that was there a year ago you were AMAZING! This staff now is...

Woman taking my order, very nice, sweet, cheerful. Great. Ordered a cheese burger combo, no pickle, Fries in a bag. Got that. Fried mushrooms. Got them. Cold when I got to them. (Explanation to follow ) Salad. Got it And the thing they're noted for.... Gyro plate, extra pita, extra feta, hot mix.... The lad popped the lid to check the order... Packed it up, sent me on my way. Get home, pop the lid open..... no pitas. Go back, true, they made me another plate, also true, the lad graciously gave me a rice pudding. Got to eat dinner alone, because .... well not about to ask someone to wait 40 minutes and eat a cold burger. Talked to the manager. ..... nothing said about comping me, coupon, looked a little mystified as to what he should do. Not thrilled by the new food checker that doesn't know their core food item, not too impressed with the new manager either. So, don't forget to check the checkers work before you leave if you have any intention of bringing home a meal for 2 and actually eating with the...

You walk in the door to a window to order and you are given a # that will be called when your order is ready. The loudspeaker was kind of annoying but the rib tips were so tasty and tangy. The plate has enough soft, melt in your mouth pieces and harder chewy pieces without too much cartilage to bother with. I'd pass on the fried mushrooms. They were heavy with batter and they give you a pouch of Ken's dressing. The fries were a little limp the way I like them but for those who enjoy a hot and crispy fry you may be disappointed. I enjoyed the sweet & tangy bbq sauce that you get plenty of (as it should be) but I was too full to try the cole slaw so I cannot say yeah or nay there but I truly suggest if live a plate full of great rib tips, you take the time to stop and enjoy a little bit of heaven before returning to the bustle of the day.

Hear me out - food prep with the family size full rack ribs for under $25. Would just need to add yr own veggies to balance. Fast food rib place with an actual open flame 🔥 like Burger King used to be back in the day. If you like ribs get the ribs. If you like gyros get the gyro. But for the price point rib dinners are the move, comes with fries, toast and little bit of coleslaw. Reg gyro $9, didn’t see the jr gyro combo that comes with fries and drink for $8. Truly pretty great for fast food place with a price point that feeds multiple without breaking piggy bank. Fries come unsalted, good for those watching intake.
