Normally a fan of their pizza as we order from them at least once a week. Yesterday was different.
We ordered a large pie well done. We wanted toppings, so in the GrubHub app, it says in description to add what toppings you want and they will charge you accordingly. We added the toppings we wanted and put in the notes well done. When we received the pizza, it was undercooked and plain. I was willing to forgive the toppings, but the raw pizza was a problem. Gave them a call where the kid who answer the phone tried to be the middle man between the owner and myself when I tried to explain what was wrong. The owner finally got on and said to me about the toppings situation. I told him the option wasn't there on GrubHub, which is the app I always uses to order from them. He then said, "why are you using them? You should use Slice for delivery." Then when I questioned about the raw pizza, he responded that their pizzas are well done by standard. I flat out said this one was underdone and asked for another one. He said "no" and I just hung up. Got a refund from GrubHub at least with a coupon as an apology for the customer service from the owner from Valentinos.
If you get what you order for, the food is good. however, if you are looking for someone who gaslights you and doesn't want to own up to their mistakes, then this is the...
Read moreIf you like surprises in your food, this place is for you! Who? WHO puts pork in their eggplant rollatini without noting it on the menu? What a terrible faux pas!! I'm vegetarian & haven't eaten pork in over 2 decades. I paid over $25 for an eggplant rollatini platter & it showed up with pork diced in it! I would've gotten so sick had i not inspected my food. What a total disappointment! To add insult to injury, when I called to inquire, I was told "oh that's how we do it". No attempt to make the situation better. Not remorseful, nothing. IF that's how you make it, then STATE that on your menus on GrubHub, Uber Eats, etc. so your customers can make the right decision. After calling, I googled top 5 eggplant rollatini recipes and NONE of them contain pork. I wonder if this is their way of covering up a not-so-flavorful dish. I'll never order from them again because I have no idea what...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed in this restaurant for allowing itself to be part of a dishonest business practice. When booking a party at Pump It Up, I was told I had to order food through their “partnered” restaurant which turned out to be this one. What they didn’t tell me is that the prices were marked up significantly compared to the restaurant’s regular menu.
The worst part is that when I questioned it, no one took accountability . . . not Pump It Up, and not this restaurant either. If your food is good, great but standing by while another business lies to customers using your name is not a good look. You’re complicit in misleading families who are trying to plan special events for their kids.
People deserve transparency, especially when it involves money and trust. I can’t recommend a business that allows this kind of shady practice...
