Golden House Chen — Restaurant in Roselle Park

Placed an order through their delivery service Eatstreet. Estimateddelivery was 8:44p. At 9:03p I called Golden House to find out where my order was. I was told by the child that works there that it was on it's way. I live in the same town. At 9:20p I called again telling them I wanted a refund bc my order was obviously not on its way bc I live 2 mins away from the place. I was then told that they never received my order. When I questioned why I was lied to about it being on its way, I was then told that they did have my order but it never went out. I will never use this service again or Golden House as this was not the 1st time this has happened with the same place. Very disappointing but I guess that's what you get when you use your middle school children to run...

It’s with a heavy heart that I write this. I've been a loyal customer for many years, but sadly, my previous positive review is now being replaced by this one. Recently, I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of the food. Today, I ordered the pepper steak, and it was terrible. The low quality steak was chewy and stringy, the vegetables were undercooked, and the sauce was overly thick and starchy. The soup was cold, and it seemed like the egg had been stirred into the cold broth, making it look like curdled cheese. It all went straight into the garbage. Delivery Order: Tried this place recently and definitely not a fan. I usually try more or less the same items when trying a Chinese Restaurant for the first time, so it's easy to compare. Quantity, Price, and Freshness are good, no complaints.

My main issue was with taste. Shrimp Lo Mein was good, Crab Rangoon stuffing was good but the shell/pocket was too thick and hard to chew, Curry Chicken was low in flavor and salt, Veg Spring Roll was average, and Dumplings also were too thick and...
