Visiting NJ from Arizona. Looking for a local friendly coffee shop, I found this wonderful place called Salento House Coffee Shop in Roselle Park. Being from Colombia, this place has become part of my top ten. They don't only offer Colombian pastries like Cambray pastry, a delicious bread/empanada filled with cheese and guava, and They also serve Pandebono, which is a cheese-filled version of Cambray pastry, among other Colombian delights. But if you're not into Colombian food, they also have croissants, desserts, really good coffee, and other hot and cold drinks. I'm telling you, I spent about four hours in this place. There was no need to worry about parking, as it was accessible from both the front and back of the building. The owners, Luis Carlos and Patricia, were There. Really friendly and making sure you get excellent customer service; they told me they are there most of the time and are happy to greet you personally. In short, you should definitely visit this place. You...
Read moreThank you for the great service at Salento Coffee House! The staff was friendly especially Patricia (I believe that was her name), the atmosphere was inviting, and everything—from the coffee to the customer care—was top-notch. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the welcoming vibe. Patricia and her staff made everything so relaxing to my rushing morning before work! They work fast but are not pushy and really help the customers out greatly as I observed they did with the customers before me in line. This place is now my go to stop before I hit that morning rush to the city for work! Thank you so much for making my mornings perfect Monday - Fridays!!! I drive with a smile to work because of you and my cup of coffee!!! Thank...
Read moreThis is my first time here and it’s the cutest spot! My sister had been excited to try it, but I stopped in solo and loved it—sorry, sis! I ordered an empanada, an almojábana ( it’s a Colombian cheese bread), and an iced latte, and wow, everything was incredible!! I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were so kind and welcoming. Will note that this is a small family owned shop with only three people running the place, so be patient!
We chatted a bit about their journey in opening the shop, and it was clear how much love and care they put into it. They made a real effort to connect with everyone who came in, even trying to remember names of customers, and creating such a warm community.
Highly recommend this place,...
