HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I ordered food TONIGHT large rice & beans with Griot (pork shoulder). The lady that answered the phone was BEYOND rude! Rushed me off the phone while ordering. I get there and asked for extra sauce( in which I usually pay for $2) told me there was no sauce. Ok I asked for extra pickles (mind you in looking at the container full of them) she said no I said I have no problem paying for it she said no. Then I get home and opened my food and IT WAS NOT WHAT I ORDERED! I asked for GRIOT and they gave me ribs! EXCUSE ME! I understand both are pork but I did not asked for ribs if I wanted ribs I would’ve ordered ribs I ask for GRIOT! I called her (spoke to her in creole because I am Haitian and to make sure there wasn’t a language barrier) and told her this is not what I order she told me it’s pork. IT IS NOT WHAT I ORDERED! I asked if I can return it or can they make me what I ordered she said no! I just spent $18.26 on food that was not correct! Granted I should have opened and examined the food before leaving but when I ordered GRIOT I expect to get GRIOT and not pork ribs! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE GO TO GOOD SHEPHERD OR TAP TAP! I'm always on the go and stop in a lot of places but this place got me. Before I went in I was second guessing myself but when I walked in I was greater by an older gentleman I told him I never ate at a Haitian place so he guided me on everything. I don't eat beans because now one makes it good or ok but this place got me because the beans where so good I ate it all. I dint find the rude service that I read on Google after buying here. I thought it was great service which I rarely get. Most places rush you or make you wait. They where patient with me and helped me on my order and the guy even gave me a free drink. I definitely will be coming back and am planning to bring my family to buy from here. I order the white rice with beans and fried chicken. It came with salad some sauces beware one is spicy lol. Hold on to your wallet and your nose! I placed two orders of chicken and rice from that restaurant. When I went to picked them up, they charged me $36.00 ($18.00 each). Even though it was expensive compared to other Haitian restaurants, my main problem was not the price but the quality. When I got home and opened the chicken sauce, it smelled so bad, I had to throw both away. Even the rice. Now they always say to support our local businesses. They should also teach those businesses to stop selling those expensive spoil foods to the customers. If you decide to buy food there to go, make sure you open the dish and inspect them (give it a good sniff)...
