Considered one of the better deli in the area by locals, my colleague and I came to Sub Stop Deli for lunch takeout. Parked around the corner, we arrived at this cozy deli on a busy Wood Ave situated in Roselle. Greeted by the staff, we ordered their 1/2 sub “Belly Buster” consisting of Boiled Ham, Capicola, Salami, Pepperoni, Bologna, Swiss & Provolone and #26 Turkey Club with sliced Turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, Mayo, oil and vinegar. The Turkey club looked a tad smaller than yesterday’s sub. The “Belly Buster” is definitely the way to go which was packed with meat. All the ingredients are fresh and good quality as they use Boar’s Head high quality meats. They’ve done a good job of stacking the sandwiches which I feel like is important when you're making a sandwich. Topping it off, they have a great selections of chips and drinks. While waiting for our orders, the staff pointed us to the old cash register in the front back and the old 1970s menu in the back. We enjoyed our thin sliced meat sandwiches as they were tasty and delicious on the soft roll with the refreshing Birch Beer and Black Cherry drinks. The price was reasonable and can recommend it.

****Update November 2024**** I actually visited a few times and was disappointed but now I'm updating my review.... Quality fell tremendously the roll is horrible they gotten extremely cheap with what they they put on it.. they put very little oil vinegar on it ask for extra they going to want to charge you..ask the lady to be heavy on it she looks at you as if you're not speaking English .. this once was the spot a long time ago but no longer is

Subs are good but I can’t give them 5 stars because Im currently pregnant and asked for the deli meat to be placed on the side instead of on the actual sub so that I can heat the meat up when I got home. They told me they can’t put the meat on the side and I found that extremely odd. I’m paying for the sub still and its nothing extra that they had to do or go out of their way. The lady was nice and did understand I’m expecting and warmed up the meat for me. I ended up tossing the sub because I wasnt sure if the meat even reached the temperature it was supposed to and was safe to eat. Jersey Mikes...

Best sandwich shop in the world. The food is always fresh nice soft rolls just excellent. If you're in the area you will not regret stopping. And it's really stupid people are giving them low ratings because it's cash only. The original owners are immigrants that came here and made a beautiful restaurant their English was not that good but their sandwiches were great. I've been coming here for years I can see probably soon they will be taking credit and debit because I think their daughter has taken over the business. But who knows I don't know why people are so dependent on debit...
