Let me start by saying that I am a Wawa lifer. This location Store 8392 in Roselle continues to disappoint. I have waited literal YEARS to write this review as I was hoping conditions there would improve, but alas they have not.
While there are many issues with this location based off of my experience visiting many other Wawas, by far the biggest is SERVICE, which is extremely disappointing. I usually visit in the morning and there is one particularly rude associate, HALEEMA.
I have on almost every occasion of visiting this location witnessed Haleema verbally berate fellow associates, customers, or both, and have also been the victim of her ire. Haleema exhibits the exact opposite of what I have come to know, love, and expect about Wawa, Friendly, light, playful, and above all, helpful associates waiting to send you off to have a good day, afternoon, or evening.
Myself and others that I know have outright avoided visiting this location as a result of Haleema's absolutely deplorable behavior, and I feel this rubs off on her co-workers, most of whom are absolutely lovely. As a people manager myself it is clear that Haleema is a cancer to the other employees, and as Gen-Z would say it "totally kills the vibes" in the store.
In addition to this, I sincerely wish that this location could get the loitering problem under control, there are many shady looking people, beggars, dirty, and drug-addicted people constantly in the parking lot, surrounding the building, and the doorway. I will not visit this location after dark for fear of the unknown.
I hope that this Wawa in Roselle (8392) can address the issues with Haleema, and their loitering problem and make this the Wawa location that the rest of us have come to love and expect, until then, I'm...
Read moreThis is the worse Wawa in all of America, where ever you can find a Wawa. Why, you ask?
Well
There are always people lingering around, outside of it looking shady.
It will be 5pm and they shutdown all of the gas pumps. NUMEROUS times.
They will have ONE person working the kitchen when there is a whole mob of people ordering.
They will have options to order certain foods but then not have them available I’m the back.
I ordered something once and had to ASK the lady to put my food in a bag. Smh.
On several occasions, the ice machine did not work.
Lastly, compared to ANY other Wawa I’ve been to, this is hands down the worse one I’ve ever been to. Why do I keep going? Unfortunately, it’s the only one that’s literally around the corner from me.
To the OWNER, get new management and get this place together. How this business is ran makes Wawa look like a terrible franchise and I know that this is not how Wawa operates as a whole. Plus, you have the IHOP coming soon, which means a potential surplus of customers. This will not be a good look for those future customers. AT ALL. Please...
Read moreToday I was verbally attacked by a Wawa gas attendant who once again refused to provide service. This is not the first time I’ve had a problem with this same employee. His behavior was extremely erratic—he was running around in circles, yelling “just wait, just wait,” and screaming at the top of his lungs instead of doing his job. I was left shaken and afraid for my life because of how aggressive and unstable he acted.
What makes this worse is how management responded. Instead of addressing the seriousness of the situation, the manager only gave me $5 worth of gas as if that could make up for being verbally attacked and left in fear. $5, dear manager, is not an acceptable response. If the tables were turned and I behaved this way, the police would have been called immediately, and I would have been banned from the premises.
Why is this man still employed at Wawa? Allowing someone with such abusive and unstable behavior to represent your company and directly interact with women customers is unacceptable. Wawa cannot have maniacs and women abusers pumping gas and putting people’s...
