I highly recommend this spot for anyone in the SGV area looking for incredible value and flavor. While the food may not be "to die for" in the absolute gourmet sense, it is undoubtedly some of the best you'll find for the price.
The Standouts:
The Specialty Sandwich: This is a beast of a sandwich, stuffed to the max with ingredients. The bread is perfectly executed—crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft inside. A pro tip: ask to hold the peppers if you're sensitive to spice, as they bring some serious heat.
VC Meatball: This was the star of the show for me. An absolute must-try! It's incredibly flavorful, juicy, and utterly satisfying for any meat craving. The taste is truly out of this world.
Spring Rolls: Forget the standard Chinese takeout version. These are in a league of their own—juicy, tender, and masterfully balanced between sweet and savory.
The Extras: The coffee and Thai tea are solid, above-average drinks that pair perfectly with your meal. The service is also a plus; the gentleman taking orders is exceptionally friendly.
In short: fantastic food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. I will definitely be back.
P.S. If you do not want to wait, you can always order ahead. They have about 4 ~ 5 spots in the...
Read moreI love a good banh mi. I have seen their other My Tho shops and this is the first one I'm trying.
I got the speacial (dac biet), grilled pork sandwich (thit heo nuong), vermicelli rice noodles (bun thit heo cha gio), and grilled lemongrass pork roll.
The sandwiches are great but I wish the bread were baguettes. Their bread are house rolls. Vermicelli noodles could use some more sauce as the one that were in the box just didn't seem to really add too much flavor to it. Grilled lemongrass pork roll was delicious. It's basically a rolled up bun thit heo (vermicelli rice noodles). Dipping gives you more flavor in every bite.
Took about 15min for the food to be ready, not too bad. They have seating on the side. Only downside is that they close...
Read moreI wish I lived closer to Banh Mi My Tho #3. The cuisine is authentic. Great Vietnamese food. Their Banh Mi bread is made perfectly it is light and crunchy. The vegetables are perfectly pickled and not too sweet. I think their Vietnamese ice coffee is the best in San Gabriel Valley. They make it daily, and it's perfectly sweetened. The seating is all outdoors with umbrellas. I noticed they have a lot of take out orders. I can't wait to return and try something else on the menu. I highly recommend that you try this restaurant. The restaurant is family owned and operated. They have three restaurants in...
