Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Rosemount

The friendliness of the staff makes this one of my favorite Caribou shops. They are extremely welcoming and always remember to ask for my Caribou member number. If you need a menu recommendation, they can ALL guide you to something you will enjoy. The drive-thru has the standard signage but it is a bit faded. If you can order ahead online, it will be faster to walk in and get your drink, as this popular location can have a busy drive-thru. There is a quiet seating nook for working/studying in the back of the shop, away from the usual noice of business; it is closed due to COVID restrictions right now. The outdoor seating patio is west-facing and is open, however, it is hard again the front door and does not currently have sun umbrellas. (I don't mind, but those who prefer shade and more space might dislike the patio.) The cream/sugar station is right next to the front door, and is somewhat in the way as people...

Today I was insulted at a Caribou across from Cub grocery in Apple Valley. My husband and I went thru the drive up and ordered two Iced Vanilla lattes large…and two pieces of cinnamon bread. 19.00 paid and said thank you… I have bought coffee at Caribou for years. I drove and parked because we were waiting to get a prescription filled. Tasted the Coffee and no vanilla. This is the second time at this Caribou. I drove back thru and told the young woman and she said we will replace both as my husbands was without vanilla. She then told me “if you aren’t happy with Caribou I suggest you find another coffee type. I almost fell out of my car….she said it and looked at her friend next to her and laughed ar us. I have been drinking Caribou for years. And never have been told not to come back! As this is the closest Caribou to my house, I frequent it very often. Love the order ahead to pick up inside or through the drive thru.

My personal fave drinks are an iced malted mocha w/ half milk chocolate, half dark chocolate. Also, their oat milk crafted press with oat milk foam is delicious! I add dark chocolate.

My kids & I really love whenever we are helped by Megan or Tri. Both are fabulous, kind, & very personable. Many of the other employees are lacking in people skills. I’ve been helped by multiple people that don’t even make eye contact or say a single word to me. All I ask is for a simple thank you & smile.

Overall though, this Caribou is a good one & it’s also one of the very few in the south metro that are open until 8pm...
