This place is a hidden gem! I’ve lived in Richmond on and off all my life and I’ve driven past this little Taqueria thousands of times never giving it a thought. Luckily, on the advice of a friend of my wife’s, we decided to stop in and have an early lunch. The first thing I noticed was how clean and organized it looked, very attractive inside. As soon as we seated ourselves, a young lady came to ask us what we were gonna have to drink and brought them immediately we took a few more minutes to decide on the order, and after placing order approximately 10 minutes passed before our food was brought out. Granted they were not busy at all. It was 10 AM on a Friday, but I was still surprised how quickly the food came and when we tasted it, everything was cooked to perfection. The portions were surprisingly large for the price and the taste of everything, from the beans and rice to enchiladas to the fajita was outstanding. My wife had two tacos and they came loaded, almost too full! The service was excellent also, everybody in the restaurant seemed to have a smile on their face, the waitress and the young lady that brought our food were both very kind and professional. We got out paying a little less than $30 for a great amount of food and full bellies. I can’t believe I haven’t tried this place before, but I will definitely be returning. The icing on the cake for me was that Christian music was playing on the speakers. It seems like a small thing, but for me and my wife it is a subtle indication of the values of El Mana and its employees, loved to see and “hear” it! Great job El Mana! You have created an outstanding establishment don’t...
Read more🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 If I could give El Mana Mexican Grill SIX stars, I absolutely would. This place is a gem! From the moment we walked in, everything was spot-on. The hostesses were warm and welcoming, and the service was truly outstanding. Our drinks were always full, the staff was constantly checking on us, and we never had to ask for a thing—they were one step ahead the entire time.
We ordered the Fajitas for Four, and wow—it fed SIX people easily with leftovers to spare. Honestly, it could’ve fed seven. The platter came piled high with perfectly grilled beef, chicken, and shrimp. It normally includes sausage too, but they had just run out. No problem—they gave us extra beef, chicken, and shrimp instead, which worked out even better because we didn’t want the sausage anyway!
Everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The charro beans were fantastic and served steaming hot. The queso was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Every sauce they brought out was next-level. You could tell real care went into every part of the meal.
The restaurant itself was spotless, had plenty of seating, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Parking was easy, and the location was easy to find.
And here’s the kicker: everything we got—enough food for six (really seven!)—was only about $100. That kind of value is rare these days. We left a generous tip because the service and experience truly deserved it.

Read moreA Hidden Gem That Blew Us Away We usually default to Ruchi’s, but it’s hit or miss—mostly miss. Today, we took a chance on something new after spotting a 4.8-star rating. As we pulled up, we realized the building had changed hands many times, which made us skeptical. But we said screw it—supporting local matters.
And wow, are we glad we did.
My wife’s go-to is chimichangas, and her plate came out looking like a work of art—cheese poured generously on top (a must!). The tacos were fresh, piping hot, and full of flavor. The kids had bacon and eggs, and they devoured them. I had chicharrón and barbacoa, and let me tell you—better than Ideal’s, and leagues ahead of Ruchi’s. The jalapeños and queso pupusa? That was my Ratatouille moment. One bite and I melted into my seat.
The hostess, Vanessa, was sweet and welcoming, and the place itself is charming—like a little Mexican casita. Inside and out, it radiates warmth.
