Beach Hut Deli — Restaurant in Roseville

I wish they offered plain sourdough rolls or plain sourdough sliced bread since sourdough is also gluten free and it tastes so much better on a delicious deli sandwich than a big french roll. I just wish they would update their bread selection. Their unsweet iced tea is in a container that shares 2 other types of drinks coming out of the same spout to dispense the tea and it did not taste unsweetened at all. It actually tasted like it was contaminated with one of the other drinks so I had to pour mine out and get something else, I was not able to enjoy my iced tea so I wish they would come up with a better set up so they could just offer a delicious unsweet iced tea by itself in it’s own container, But that’s just my personal preference because it does not taste good at all in the container they’re currently using. Otherwise even the small size sandwiches are large and delicious, you will not walk away, hungry!!! I am truly disgusted with the cleanliness and customer service. In the short time I was there the two girls working had 2 separate groups of friends come in and start chatting. I stood there waiting to be acknowledged and order. The first group of friends didn't even order! And they just stood there and gossiped with the second group very unprofessionally. If all of that was not enough they then started making my order without gloves, I did not see them wash their hands and when they went to answer the phone and touch the computer screen, they used the same gloves that they had while making my meal and then went to continue making it without changing the pair of gloves. I said something to one of the girls and she offered to remake the food but I just wanted to get out of there. After being hades my bag of course I then got attitude even though I expressed my concerns very politely. My meal is going on...

This was my go to place back in the 90s. But something has changed. My favorites back the day were Surfn Bird, Surfin Pig and shark bite. So we recently stoped in a got the pig and the bird for me and the wife. The sandwiches remain huge but flavor of the meats have changed. The Turkey had no flavor and Ham was sweet and thin. It was not like this back in the day when it was think cut meats. Also the bacon has shrunk and the bread is no longer a soft pillowy blanket to the meat. Dont get me wrong, I ate it, but didnt enjoy like I used to. I know things change but If I do come back I will order the High Tide only. Used to be a 4.5 place but...
