I am sad to say that my first experience of this place was a 1 STAR .. THE ATMOSPHERE was low budget. The entire place was not very clean. To my liking. The girls that seat you are young and low people skills. Right away when they seated us following the hostess I injured my toe and it was bleeding on the wood planks in the middle of the walk to table. I SAID ouch I hurt my toe , i looked it was bleeding and the hostess said ohhh yah there is weird there, NOT are you OK, let me get you something , Nope, nothing, Ouchy!! The waitress took well over 15 minutes to even acknowledge us and finally asked if we wanted something to drink. Then it took another 10 minutes to get the drinks to us. I'm also sad that when we finally ordered we waited almost 30 minutes and our bento box and it was COLD! The chicken should have been HOT FOOD, I ordered chicken teriyaki and to be honest I am not sure what it was so I didn't eat it. IT TASTED chewy and the sauce tasted like it had to much beef bullion. The sushi rolls were not as expected. Not tasty, and I love my sushi. I used the restroom and it only had 2 stalls and one toilet was Clogged and the bathroom was dirty. I will not be going back to this restaurant. They need to close the doors and do a deep clean and start new with fresh bright table clothes instead of black. All day the next day not only does my toe hurt but my tummy has been upset. Like food poisoning from the BBQ tuna that was seared and cold ... I'm sorry Sushi Mon. I have over 3.2 MILLION VIEWS THAT FOLLOW MY REVIEWS and I feel you owe me my money back. Spent over 75 dollars.....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWatch out, if you order using Doordash. We ordered 8 rolls, and when it got to our house, only 2 were what we actually ordered. The receipt showed our order, but 2 of the 3 the boxes were clearly labeled with other rolls, and the 3rd box with the correct items was unlabeled. Also, there was edamame, which we did not order.
It gets more complicated. Sushi Mon said it wasn't their fault, because Doordash is supposed to have the driver check the order. For some reason, the 2 bags were tied tightly shut--it's unclear if the restaurant or the driver did that. Doordash driver agreed to go back to the restaurant to pick up the correct rolls (after he couldn't get ahold of anybody with his company for help with what to do), but then Sushi Mon said they wouldn't give him the correct rolls without charging him/Doordash, unless WE came in and talked to them. We had been drinking and didn't want to drive for food....so this was a dilemma. Eventually the manager at Sushi Mon called back and offered a future credit of 1 roll for the trouble....1 roll for $80 worth of a messed up order?
If we had been in the restaurant, they would have remade the order correctly.
The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the rolls we got were yummy, despite being different from what we wanted.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a terrible experience stopping by this place. My friends and I visited this place 4/9/2018 around 7:00pm and asked for a table for three. It was not busy at all, and there were many tables available at this time. The hostess, a white young girl, came out with very unhappy expression on her face tried to seat us at a table right behind the hostess station very close to the enterance. She rudely tosses three menus on that table, clearly showing something was not going well for her. Due to the location of the table, we asked her find a different table. Again, showing clearly not happy, she picked up those menus back and finally led us to a table more desirable for us. However, before we even sat at the table, she again tossed those menus on the table very rudely and quickly left. That was it for me and my friends. One of my friend asked for the manager and complained about the hostess' attitude. Manager told us he would talk to her what was going on but never offered an apology. Feeling upset, we decided to leave the restaurant and took business to another sushi place. I am an Asian living this country for more than 23 years and finally felt the racism in action. Thanks Sushimon for ruining otherwise wonderful evening for us and remind us that there are still many ignorant people...
