Ok, now here's a Puruvian place to talk about. Let's sum it up. MOUTH WATERING GREATNESS!!!! Every dish we got was an eye popping work of beauty and very fresh! Down right amazing. Our taste buds were going crazy. And the atmosphere was astetically wonderful. Our host, I believe was one of the owners, she was wonderful. Definitely going back with the kids next time. The power fried rice was the best fried rice we have ever had. The soy sauce & veggies did not take away from it but added just the right touch of extra goodness. And the egg, wow, like a patty of heaven on top. The Pescado AL Lo Macho was also great. The fish was perfect. We could have taken home tons of this fish the way it was cooked. And everything else on the plate was just a bonus. I would get the sauce on the side next time ( I loved it just how it was, the wife was amazed how perfectly cooked & crisped it was & wished the sauce did not take from that on the bottom of the crispy fish). Boy oh boy I need more of that. The Chicharron De Pollo was also perfectly done, not dry inside the nicely crispy outside. Tasty sauces came with it to dip in if you wanted. This is where the wife & I differ, the Puruvian Seafood Cocktail....... the fried plantains we both though were amazing. The fried calamari sticks have them put on the side, they were great. The juice was also amazing, along with the corn, chiles, onion....... but the wife did not care for the seafood. I can't wait to go back to try more items on the menu. Oh and let's not forget to go to breakfast. They did not have any emenadas, bet they are great, so call to see when they do. Let's give a big big YUMMMY IN MY TUMMY to this place!

First time here, was a Saturday evening, Wow! Greeted by a beautiful singing Voice. There's a talented solo vocalist here on Saturdays apparently. Every Saturday evening. I will absolutely come here on a Saturday next time. It was such a treat! So then the appetizers came and I was even more delighted. Yay! Beautiful tender Beef Heart in light pesto with these crazy good potatoes, and I don't even eat potatoes usually. This place will be My Exception! Super yummy. Creamy and flavorful potatoes with beef heart. I could eat this every darn day. The white fish ceviche was so tangy citrus and refreshing. Lots of beautiful onions and nothing was overwhelming, just beautiful and fresh. Then comes a clean feeling beef stew with rice and a seafood paella. Also yummy. I feel the Paella is poorly named and should be readdressed as a Seafood Risotto. It's not like a flavorful Spanish paella, but more of a mellow creamy risotto. Very nice texture. The appetizers were so filling. We had to take most of the entrees home. Oh, did I mention the garlicky herb butter they serve with the house bread rolls. Too good! Salty Herby butter and tastes like a soft pillow of potato bread roll. Mmmmm. Servers were all extremely polite, caring and conscientious.

Chicha is a fabulous Peruvian restaurant, and let me tell you why. My girlfriend and I had just moved into town and we were looking for a place to eat nearby. We love trying new things and decided to try Peruvian, so we ended up in Chicha. We asked to be sat outside (we had a puppy). Vanessa was kind and proactive enough to bring our puppy a water container and passionately explained to me her favorite meals at Chicha. We, of course, ordered them, and I could not get enough of it (we will be back). Yucas fritas (deep fried manioc roots) were delicious; the Pimentel ceviche was fresh and had an explosion of flavors in my mouth, it had big chuncks of fish, lots of red onions, toasted corn and hominy. We also got the Lomo saltado a lá antigua. The meat was as tender as you can possibly get, the veggies were cooked to perfection, and the sauce/seasoning of the meat with the white rice it was just made for one another, UNBELIEVABLE!!! Words do not do justice for the experience we had at Chicha. We are coming back to try the whole menu and the incredible desserts.

We dined last night for Valentine's day and thankfully had an early reservation. The place is super cute and they did a great job of decorating modestly for Valentine's. I liked how they had balloons tied to the bottles of Malbec at specific tables. While I didn't ask specifically but I think it was their way of noting which tables were reserved.

After being shown to our table and seated, we perused the menu and were excited to try some new dishes.... ...(5 minutes - nada) ...(5 more minutes - nada) ......(5 more minutes - nada)

At one point, someone dropped off two hard biscuits and left. We weren't even offered water, yet. We waited and noticed a couple seated well after us was already placing their order and had water. At this point, I was about to get up and pour ourselves some water, instead, I flagged a server down and asked for some water. The server looked frantic but thankfully got us water, but immediately left.

This is the point, where the sever should have said something like "sorry for the delay, your server will with you shortly". The person who I asked to bring us water, wasn't assigned to our table.

It is Valentine's day and I get it, it is busy and they are doing their best. So we wait...ever so patiently. We don't complain. We wait. After so more waiting, the server assigned to us showed up and apologized for being busy. They asked if we wanted to start with drinks, we said that we would also order as well. We placed our appetizer and dinner order along with two pisco sours. Once our order was placed, the food came out in a timely fashion. However, our drinks somehow did not make it. We figured they'd be out shortly, after about halfway through our meal our server came to check on us and we reminded them about the drinks.

We could have been on our second round of drinks if they were delivered on time, alas we only had one round and ended up boxing up the rest to take home.

I still give them 4 stars because the food was that good and I liked the setting. Now if they can improve on their service this place will be a great spot to...

One of the worst dining experiences. All 3 dishes we ordered were bland, and tasteless. I specifically asked the waiter for a dish that was full of typical Peruvian flavors, and what did he recommend as I was new to Peruvian food and out to experiment.

The appetizer Yucas Fritas in the Salsa de Huancania para Sumergir, came after reminding them when we got the entrée's that we never got the appetizer, it showed up when we were almost done with entrée's, the dipping sauce was very mild and had little to no flavor.

Entrée 1 Aji De Gallina, Shredded chicken was tough, and dry, cooked in Aji Amarillo sauce mixed with an African influence peanut sauce, that part was not even there, the waiter verified that I could eat peanuts and there were NONE! The Ai Amarillo sauce was tasteless on its own. The only flavor in this entire dish was the 3 Peruna olives on the plate, they were delicious.

Entreé 2 - Espaguetis Fruit Del Mar - the dish that was brought out was not correct so we had to wait for this to be re-made. (Still no appetizer) They asked us when we ordered if we wanted bread, it never came. When the entreé finally came out again the Peruvian creamy Aji Amarillo sauce was tasteless, The shrimp had a good flavor out of all the fish on the plate.

The restaurant was busy I think they ran out of ingredients, not sure but I do not...
