Last time I was in the area I think this place was closed for renovations, and I'm so glad that I was able to check this place out this time around!
The name "The Bomb Teashop," really suits this place because their drinks... really are the BOMB! I knew coming in that I wanted the taro bomb because it looked amazing, and it is their best seller. I was kind of afraid that the taro would be too overpowering, but it was perfect. The drink was just so smooth and light, and the flavors were also light and melow, so it was very enjoyable. You had the perfect amount of sweetness and perfect flavor of taro. Then, the cream that was on the sides of the cups that gave the beautiful marbling look to the drink wasn't just for the aesthetic, it also added a lot to the drink and made it even better. It added that missing element, as it brought a really nice saltiness which paired well with the sweet taro, and a kind of buttery texture. In addition with the chewy and soft and delicious boba, the taro bomb was absolutely bomb!
We also got a mango slush with strawberry popping boba, and a peach green tea with cheese foam, and those were also very solid!
I am so glad that I could try this place out this time around because now it is one of the better places in my opinion...
Read moreThis place is great. The menu options really are focused on making good bubble tea. I suggest trying the House tea or the Honey Tea for newcomers. They are classic teas without any crazy flavors that really allow u to focus on the flavor and the boba. I usually get the Matcha Green tea with cheese foam. The cheese foam can be added to any drink. It is a slightly salty foam. Not overly cheesy in flavor and pairs well with the drinks. If you dont like the classic tapioca boba you can always get crystal boba or jellies or none at all. They also have the option of changing the level of sweetness and the amount of ice you want. They have stamp cards. They are not a huge place and only currently have 4 tables with some games if you want to stay for a while. In the evenings I've seen them get packed. If you want to bring your own cup, your own straw go right ahead they will accommodate you and put your drink in...
Read moreThe boba is good, but a little too sweet for me. I couldn't finish my drink, which was a bummer. I wished they had the boba drinks in different sizes so I didn't have to waste it due to its overwhelmingly sugary sweetness. I also got the spicy noodle which was the biggest L of them all. I had asked the employees working there what was the dish that was displayed on the screen above the front counter, and they told me it was the spicy noodle. Please note that in the picture, there were various toppings with greens, proteins, and other stuff. What I got instead was instant noodles. Yes, instant noodles. It was quite literally the $0.95 instant noodle packs that you can buy at the grocery store. They didn't dress it up or anything. I paid $5 for instant noodles. If that's not the biggest rip off ever, I don't know what is. Would I ever shop here again?...
