CJF Fine Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Roseville

The service here is fantastic. In fact, it may be worth going back just for that. Unfortunately, the food itself was mind-blowingly mediocre at best and improperly cooked, a bit bland, and inedible at worst. I wasn't terribly hungry so I ordered a soup and their vegetable roll app.'s for my lunch. The soup was okay, perhaps just a bit boring, but not bad so I finished that. By the time I got to the rolls, however, maybe I had let them sit too long because while the exterior was crispy (though a bit oily for my taste), the vegetables inside were just a horribly inedible steamy mush. I had two bites and couldn't eat the rest. They almost reminded me of microwaved Costco vegetable spring rolls or something. Disappointing, too, because of all the prior amazing reviews and also because of how phenomenal the service was! Like I said, perhaps it was an off-day, and I just need to come back and try again when they are back on...

Tried about everything on the menu. All ingredients are fresh and prepared daily. Decent prices for large portions of food. Very friendly staff and chefs cook to order right in front of you in the wok. And they also cook the food fast so be ready! Busy during evenings ,sometimes, so plan ahead. This little nook of a restaurant is getting more and more popular in roseville. Edward, the owner, was the head chef at Fats Asian Bistro and now several years later he is head and owner of an amazing Chinese restaurant. I don't know if the food is all traditional to Chinese cuisine but it tastes pretty darn close, and you can trust me on that since I have visited china and experienced the rich flavors of their cooling for myself. Have been enjoying the food since the day they opened. My sweetie is used to New York style chow mein, not even on the menu but if you ask he makes it and its terrific. Tried most of the dishes they offer and have enjoyed all of them. Had given 5 stars three yeas ago

Not sure what is happened in your resturant Edward but our last 3 orders have not been close to on par. 7/26 6:30 pm, picked up our to go order of Chicken Chop Suey and there is no chicken, no green onion. Paid for extra reg onion and no extra sauce as requested. Have come to you since you opened and spoke to you the other time this kind of thing happened. Nothing done to make up for the second trip to get a correct order. Staff even wanted to keep the bad order to just throw away.
