One Milk Tea Roseville (Woodcreek) — Restaurant in Roseville

If you have never had milk tea before and in this has been your only exposure to it I'm sorry. Usually good tea places brew their tea throughout the day. It doesn't just come out of a box or a bag premixed. This place is primarily all premixed teas, everything is already made and just served out of a box/bag that they mix in a little bit of the creamer. They have Sakura tea on their menu, for those who don't know what that it is, it's a cherry blossom based pedal leaf tea which is usually a green tea base and not made with rose flavoring of any kind. However this place uses Rose as a substitution which is a completely different flavor from the cherry blossom tea also known as Sakura tea. The customer service here is probably the only good thing about this place. The people behind the counter are nice and friendly and even when they are only one person there, they are still keeping a smile on their face and being courteous to their clientele. The tea drinks are overly sugared, with little to no actual flavor just the sugar. Asking for less sugar or half sugar was still at full sweetness when compared to another with full sugar. The atmosphere in the store was fairly loud and filled with a bunch of mosquitoes, also The place was dirty and they were creepy crawlias raining along the bottom of the walls. The bright and welcoming decor made for a fun atmosphere as soon as we entered. Our small party each got a drink, but the sizing is generous, plenty to share. I got the Taro Milk Tea with boba. The staff was friendly and quick. The boba (tapioca pearls) always add a fun, chewy texture in contrast with the smooth drink.

Drinks taste like instant powder and taste overly artificial. One could describe the drinks as being very watery. It's a simple concept: tea, creamer, sugar and powder with optional toppings and One Milk Tea messed this one up big time. I know the cost of doing business has been going up, but they could at least throw in a little more non-dairy creamer power to have a less watery drink. Taro drink with taro stripes lacked sweetness despite coming standard. The boba was also very hard and definitely under cooked and not fresh at all. More like one star milk tea.
