Wow, I rarely write reviews for negative reasons, however, I felt compelled to share my experience here tonight in hopes the manager/owner might care enough to make some changes. The first problem is the place is dirty. All the doors and windows including the glass around the ice cream mix-ins area looked like they haven’t been properly cleaned in weeks. After being surprised by the lack of cleanliness of the surfaces and floors, we got to wait in line along with about 10 other people because the 2 kids working there were being distracted by another kid who had just clocked out and wouldn’t leave. He was loudly talking and they just kept responding to him, so for around 10 minutes, they were more busy talking than acknowledging the waiting customers. Not even a “we’ll be with you in a second” or any type of eye contact. Everyone was just looking at each other like, “is this real life?” I get it, they are teenagers, but if they aren’t mature/responsible enough to act appropriately and do their job, then someone who is responsible should be supervising them. After dealing with this, my husband finally walked over and leaned on the counter next to the kid who was distracting the kids working and made it clear that the only way he was going to get attention is stand next to the kid who they were paying attention to. He finally went away after getting the hint. This place needs an inspection and better management. It’s hard to trust a business that is ran by teenagers who don’t seem to care on...
Read moreSuch a bummer but needs to be said. First off, this store has really gone downhill and is Filthy! Cleaning is not a priority anywhere. I went in today and store was empty. One gal working and I won’t say her name but let’s just say customer service isn’t her thing. Made my ice cream order, then when I attempted to pay, the card machine had no power. I sat there for approximately 10 mins as she attempted to trouble shoot why it wasn’t working then said she had to call her boss and asked for cash, which I clearly didn’t have. Then just stood there… didn’t call the boss and said I couldn’t have the ice cream because I couldn’t pay… even though it was the business issue. I told her that I just stood there and waited patiently and as a courtesy, should be at least offered the ice cream but she didn’t agree yet did not call her boss at this point still. Wasted time. Wasted ice cream. Filthy...
Read moreI'm going to open this message with Just had a really bad experience here. I was walking by, not even to get ice cream but to go to the Starbucks next door. There was a young lady (an employee) that was having a hard time getting the cart in so I open the door to offer help. I help her in with it and she didn't even say a word to me after. Not a oh thanks, thank you sir, not even go to hell. I mean some kind of words would be nice. When you stop to help someone it's just courtesy to say thank you for what you did. Even if you don't really care. However she didn't ask for help, I saw her having a hard time so I offered. I will be telling everyone to avoid this store. My family and I won't be going back here for ice cream anytime soon.
I'm a manager at Jimmy John's on Douglas, come into our store. We can show you how you treat customers, our guests wouldn't be...
