I didn’t even want too give them (1) star. This is the second time I received unsatisfactory service. First time drive thru, hair was in the bag and when I opened the box a string inside. (I wish) I would have took a picture. They replaced it, but had an attitude doing so. (I was like REALLY)😒 Now this time I ordered a 5piece meal/ spicy. I get home it was obvious the chicken was not spicy. I took a bite , that confirmed! So I called….. Here we go again. The lady was acting as IF I was lying 🤥 I have her the ticket number. Than she comes back with a lie stating the guy who packed, claims it was spicy 🌶️. I informing this selective hearing person it’s NOT! Too be honest my last time coming! And I will definitely inform others. This restaurant I been eating since I was a little child. In (Kalamazoo) before they (Roseville) even had a clue. I can just wait too go back home and eat some. Intell time me, family, co workers and others WILL NOT support a business who will not take accountability for their mistakes! From my understanding Brother Ray he is the owner. From the Coney Island that is down the street. I will be definitely be bring this too his attention! Shame on y’all again!

Been wanting to try Lee's after going past it a few times during my visit to Detroit. When one reviewer said that the chicken here were better than KFC and Popeye's, I just had to try it. After all, it was a bold claim. The fried chicken definitely resemble KFC original recipe, though I agree that I prefer Lee's. The chicken skin is crunchier than KFC one, and the seasoning is not as salty, either, which is good for me. A pleasant surprise is that you can also order chicken liver and gizzards, and they're great! The liver was flavourful, and the gizzards held their shape while being tender, even after being fried and breaded. Their selection of side dishes definitely resembles Popeye's. I personally like the Cajun rice, though it was a bit oily at the bottom. The corn was okay (we added butter and honey to it to make it more appetizing), and the coleslaw was on point. The biscuits were definitely better than Popeye's for me, even beating Church's chicken biscuits. Since the meal comes with two sides, a biscuit, and a Pepsi pop, you definitely won't go hungry.

When I first passed by the location of this restaurant it was still under construction. I was excited to check out a new chain place that I had never heard of before. I'm not usually in this area so the next time I happened to be around the location after the store opened I decided to try it. The woman who took my order at the drive-thru super sweet. I felt like I'd gone down south she was so sweet. I ordered the food and got it rather quickly. That said the food isn't much to speak of. There is nothing wrong with it it's just kind of average. It made me feel like I went to the many you buy we buy places around Detroit. Main difference of course is that they don't put lemon pepper on their chicken at Lee's. It tasted very plain. I ordered a single spicy chicken tender along with a Lee's Famous three-piece combo. The tender is not in the photo. I also did not get much of a spicy flavor from the tender.

I've only been here twice my first experience was good other than the fact the chicken chunks I ordered could've been hot but they were room however the food had good flavor. I decided to pick up dinner yesterday only to get home to discover we had a 3pc bone in instead of the chicken strips I order not to mention the chicken chunks were not fresh again. So I had to go all the way back up there because that's not what I ordered. So when I get there the manager brings the box to me and opens it and says I'm assuming you already got your other side 🤔 umm first of all I just gave you back the entire meal you've already opened the box and looked through the food the way that it looked is the way you all gave it to me. So she then ask a team member to put more fries and takes the other bag and say we'll just toss it .. Good because I wasn't trying to keep it my family doesn't eat bone in chicken for one for two it was so greasy looking so no thank you then she gives me my new order didn't apologize for my inconvenience at all and when I told her that her response was I was placed your order. You were going to do that regardless because that wasn't what I ordered. Not to mention the food was not good the Chicken and potatoes were full of salt. When I first tried the place I was telling everyone there it's new chicken place in Roseville and it's good now I will revise what I said because yesterday it sucked and for the price it should be made right. Needless to say I won't be back not only because of the food but management needs to be a little bit more apologetic when jacking up an order.. She thought I was apologizing to her when I was being sarcastic, child I don't live up the street this was an inconvenience so...

I’ve waited a long time to write this review. It’s honest and not motivated by anger or anything like that.

I watched and patiently waited for this place to be built. When it finally opened, I was there within the first week to give it a try. It was well worth the wait. The “breast strips” were enormous, fresh, real white meat chicken…a home run. The sides were always hot, fresh, and generally yummy. For ~6 months I went back for the chicken once a week, it was that good. I even took some out of town friends there as if it were a local delicacy. They concurred “the breast strips are amazing!”.

Well, the promotional period is over and now, it’s just a run of the mill chicken place. They literally switched the size of the servings of chicken. The “breast strips” are just regular ole small chicken tenders, not nearly as fresh. The side dishes used to come in a dedicated side dish bowl, full to the brim. Now, they throw them in a styrofoam partition platter, estimated half the volume.

It’s also not specific to THIS location. I tested another location, on Garfield, and it’s the same thing. The chicken is half the size and the sides are half the volume.

I don’t blame the management or staff…it’s nothing short of corporate greed. They got people hooked on the huge, delicious chicken and then started selling us something that would never live up to what they gave us in the beginning. A straight hustle.

My overall, present day assessment: Good value fast food chicken (the prices haven’t gone up...

I can't comment on the atmosphere but my meal was great as we all know that fast food chains have significantly changed only thing that I can comment on is the meal that I got I ordered off DoorDash so therefore I again cannot comment on the atmosphere but the food itself was superior to all the other fast-food restaurants. I've tried unless you're going towards the south and there's a certain fast food restaurant involving chicken that we all know is amazing. It has something to do with cane but as far as Lee's chicken goes the recipe reminded me a lot of of the old KFC the KFC that was delicious and a treat that we would get when we were young. I'm an 80s baby so it was definitely something that was exciting when my family would get KFC chicken for dinner on a blue moon. I have been searching for a good fast food chain and I was nervous when I ordered this. I had read the reviews and it gave me reviews but I don't know what chicken they tasted. My food was amazing. It was so nostalgic brought me back to the late 90s early 2000. I was very satisfied the cheese wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible. It was the chicken that was important. The mashed potatoes tasted like the old KFC you will not be disappointed. KFC has fell off and Lees is here to resurrect...
