Honestly this place is a big hit then suddenly a miss at times in terms of customers service. It always feels like anyone who steps into the store is glared at by employees for existing. God help you if someone asks for balloons or in need of service requiring an interaction with a human. Personally I do prefer to check out on my own with out looking for a need to bother someone behind a counter because I do understand that management makes people do to much with way too little staff for not the best pay in the world. I can understand that and give slack because I live it too. But if someone does ask for help with pricing and such it's literally your job to help people. When told please and thank you it's not mentioned to be condescending but actually politeness that many people have seem to forgotten. (I know very boomer of me) Please talk your issh out of ear shot of people when you step away to fix and issue. It's not a good look on your end and your end up with upset people leaving you reviews. :/ I'd like to say I apologize for bothering you guys at your very own place of work. I'll be sure to take my business elsewhere whenever I can manage. I do hope that they pay you all more so that maybe you'll be encouraged to be kinder and more aware of your surroundings at least while customers are around. I really used to like coming here on my days off to try and find inspiration and good deals on the clearance sections. If you do come here I'd suggest to be sure to bring some headphones and focus on not needing help from the staff. The deals they have going on are decent and the clearance sections have improved a lot. I'd also recommend to check out online ordering if possible they offer...
Read moreI'm becoming disappointed by this location. Their yarn selection seems to be dwindling. They're often out of the same things like it isn't being restocked. They also either just don't get the new yarns or it takes ages compared to other locations. Though it is good for clearance yarn lately. Their fabric section is a joke! It's two aisles and without coupons like joanns they shouldn't be charging that amount for their fabric. They need to lower prices or have coupons. They also way overcharge for other things like a knitting machine you can get on Amazon for $35 and they charge $74 without a coupon above 20% ridiculous! I am posting a picture for all my crocheting and knitting friends out there. There's this item called a YARNIT and you'll thank me. You can use velcro and attach it to your dash in the car or use it at home. It's a ball to put yarn in and it acts like a yarn bowl. Now you can get it considerably cheaper on Amazon last I checked but it is here too. I keep getting items that scan "unable to be sold" which I don't understand and is very frustrating when you want the item and it's the only one. For some reason the manager can't fix it. It's "a system thing." They're wheelchair accessible and the aisles are large enough to accommodate. The staff is very nice in my experience. I'm visually impaired so sometimes need extra help and they always take the time until I'm thoroughly finished, not...
Read moreUpdate: We were told during their remodel of part of the store that they would still carry the same products. However, now that it's finished, a lot of the baking supplies are no longer offered. The ones that are are no longer eligible for the coupon discounts so Meijer is now cheaper. I believe they missed a great opportunity since the local cake and candy supply store moved about 5 miles north onto Hall Rd. Guess I'll be shopping out there or at Meijer now. I do a lot of baking and their coupons keep many of their prices lower than competitors. I am disappointed however, that they started telling customers they can only accept 1 coupon per transaction now. Their coupons specifically say, "Limit one coupon per product. Limit one coupon of each type per day". If we have different types of discounts, they should all be accepted. One cashier read that when I pointed it out and tried scanning both... the computer gave both discounts, yet the managers and other cashiers still insist they can...
