Tang's Sushi — Restaurant in Roseville

Kinda don't want to review this place because the wait will be insane and their prices might go up, but my party met Tang and he is just too amazing not to mention.

Everything was great but I'll be coming back for the seasoned edamame, scallops; actually I'll just be coming back period.

All the tempura was yum: shrimp and veggies are super crispy yet perfectly done inside. The veg still had a bite to them and the shrimp was extremely tender and well seasoned. Next time I'll order a plate of onion rings just for me.

The steak bento box is pretty delicious: save the sauce from the seasoned edamame to pour over your rice for a nom-nom mound, you won't regret it and won't want to share.

Tang must be a saucier on top of an already Am-Ma-Za-Zing sushi chef because his sauce game is on point, so yum that you're going to want to rub those lil' nigiri rice bottoms all over to soak up the goodness.

Get the house salad. I know you're thinking, it's just a salad, but their dressing is too tasty to miss. Remember: saucier skills! Nice preview of what's to come. I'll try other salads next time.

SALMON SKIN hand rolls are the best I've ever had. Many years ago, I started eating these when someone in my group had a crispy one for me to try and instantly became a fan. On my journey to find the perfect roll I've been disappointed until Tang showed up. His SALMON SKIN hand roll was not greasy nor oily, thick pieces of skin throughout, not just at the top, the ratio to rice was perfect. Damn you Tang, I want one now!

All the fish we tried was super yum, most places have thin cuts but Tang does a thicker slice that provides the most decadent mouth feel you'll have the pleasure to enjoy.

Oh man, almost forgot to mention Sarah, what a delight. I bet Tang's staff are all awesome, but just do yourself a favor and sit in...

I’m ashamed I don’t have any photos of their food because it comes out looking absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I made the mistake of eating the food right away and I COULDN’T STOP. Mikuni? What’s that?! I’m never going back. Not only is Tangs delicious (especially the Tangs lobster roll) but it’s also not out of budget. I hate feeling like I can only go out once a week for good food because it’s so expensive, but I don’t have that problem here. Tang himself is a legend, a God some would even say (myself included) and he did a great job on making me feel welcomed when I came in the first time. He is charismatic and sweet and I love him to death. He does a great job with making me feel special, and the second time I came in he had actually memorized my name which is extremely difficult for a guy who has at least 60 tables come in each day! When I brought my parents to show them my gem of a find, he treated them with such care that they are now making the 30 minute drive from Folsom to Roseville just to have a little taste of Tangs. Wow! Wow! It’s hard to find the right words to describe this place! One of the best places I’ve had sushi in this country and it’s unbelievable to have such a gem close to home. The fish is of the highest quality, freshness and flavor! Great variety of options one thing that also amazes me is how much flavor and texture they pack in their rolls. Each slice is so small (but ah so convenient to eat) yet each oute takes you on a journey! I recommended this place to every family member and friend. Last time I went the owner served and and he was a pleasure to talk to and learn more about the restaurant! They get fresh fish shipped from all over the world!

I only wish they had more other non-fish dishes. My partner is not a sushi fan like I am and enjoyed things like chicken katsu and others) anything but teriyaki lol but nevertheless best sushi. If anyone been to Kru it’s like that quality but prices are much more reasonable!
