Came here on Friday Night 2/23, around 6:45pm for dinner with a family member. When we arrived we were told 20 minutes for the wait. Placed our name on the list. We notice that they were doing their tequila tasting event, and staff was moving around frantically setting up for this event. Seemed like they were more worried about that then the people that were already there at the restaurant at that time. 20 minutes later we were seated at the booth in the far right back corner by the bathroom and kitchen door. Me being a bigger guy it was a very tight fit for me to sit in the booth, asked if there was any way we could get a table and were rudely and immediately told no that all the tables with chairs were being used for the event. So I had to squeeze into the booth which was very uncomfortable. 2 minutes later, our server comes over and asks if we were ready to order. We told her we just sat down. She then asked us what we wanted to drink. We asked her for a drink menu and she looked puzzled. Again we asked if there was a drink menu we could see. I know there is because I was there just a week ago. Still she looked like she didn't know what we were asking for. We asked her what beers were on tap and she didnt know. So we looked at the draft beer taps and saw what beers were available. Why is Sam Adam's Oktoberfest, still on tap when it's out of season? So for a 3rd time we asked her for the drink menu, and still had a dumb puzzled look on her face. So I ordered a Diet coke, and my family member ordered a Sam Adam's, which ended up being old and skunky beer. It took our server 10 minutes to bring our drinks to us. During this time, I tried to get the one guy, who I believed was the manager that I saw last time, asked him for a drink menu he ignored us and walked right on by, again way too busy with the event that didn't even start yet then with the guests already seated. Finally our server comes back and I had to demand a drink menu and finally got one. 5 minutes later she came back to take our order. We got our order about 10 minutes after placing it. While we are eating, a man server bigger guy, sets up a tray on a stand about 5 feet from our table, that had drinks on it for the event, and starts to burn herbs from the drink with a torch gun... I am asthmatic and told him that the smell and smoke from the burning was bothering me and asked if he could do it somewhere else and he just laughed at us. How unprofessional I that... I have worked in the food service industry for 20 plus years as a general manager and director, if any of my employees would have laughed at a guest when it came to a health issue, I would have fired them on the spot. I understand you sold the event at 50 dollars a seat, but damn what about the rest of us. We weren't important.... our server only came around once to check on us after the food came out and we were sitting there for almost 25 minutes. She then came back and we asked for boxes, she came back with 2 different small boxes and also threw the bill on the table. Never once did she ask if we needed anything else, if we needed a bag, or if we wanted dessert. I was going to order dessert to go like I did last time, but she had already did the bill and made us feel like we were being rushed to leave. She kept coming over looking if I had sign the bill receipt yet as she was acting like she was clearing the table. My family member was trying to finish the skunky beer but felt the pressure that we just got up and left. We felt very unwelcomed, and that the only people the whole staff felt that was important were the 50 dollar tequila tasters not the rest of their paying guests. Never had this bad of service. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING. WE WILL BE GOING TO JUAN BLANCOS INSTEAD or Mezcals in Ferndale, where we have been treated good, even when there was an...
Read moreThis place just opened recently and has no management it seems. Party of 5, walked in, took a few minutes because they didn't have a host, no problem. When we were greeted they had no idea where to put us at first. We sat down, our actual waitress ( Ashley) took about 10 minutes to even come speak to us. She asked what we'd like to drink and I said "uhm, I thiiink" and she said "I'll come back" and walked away. She came back about 5 minutes later and took our drunk order. We wanted to order and app. But she had already walked away, so we waited...and waited. About 5 minutes later she brings everything except the bar drink. No biggie, we place the app ( we were also ready to order) but she walked away as soon as we asked for queso. 10 min. Later she bring the bar drink. Someone else delivered our appetizer. After another 5-10 minutes, she comes and takes our order. I asked if the red or green Chile was hotter, she had no idea. So I asked for red on the side. (Never got) 4 out of 5 people went without refills for a good 15 minutes. Someone else delivered our food. She never checked on us, she was very inconsiderate, and overall it took us almost 2 hours. Once 1 bar drink was done, we had asked for another. Literally 15 minutes later, she brings it, watered down, AFTER we asked for to go boxes. By far the worst service I've ever had. Oh also, gave 2 straws for 5 people, no side plates, never brought the extra napkins I asked for. This place is small, and it wasn't that busy. There is no excuse why she was so neglectful. There were multiple groups of people that waited 10+ minutes just to even be acknowledged walking in the door. As foe the food, steak was decent, smallllll portions for the prices. Chicken enchiladas were okay, dry and bland though. Overall, it is NOT worth it. I know my family and I will never go back. This is coming from someone who recently worked 12+ years in the...
Read moreTried this place out the 1st week it opened, food and drinks were good, service was slow and poor. Decided to give it another try this past weekend as our daughter wanted to try it... Once again, food was good, however the drinks were wrong, and the server was slower than mollasses and forgot to put parts of our order in. It took 10 minutes for her to come to our table to say hello, we ordered our drinks and food at that time since we were ready, we also ordered a to-go but asked that she put the to-go in when we were partially finished with our meal. It took about 10 more minutes for us to get our drink order, a beer, margarita and soda, the margarita ended up being a mojito.. yuck... We waited about 20 minutes for our food, my husbands had sour cream on it so it had to be sent back since he cant have it and it was not listed on the menu as having sour cream topping. Not the servers fault. She brought it back within 5 minutes. However, 45 minutes passed, she came with the bill and I asked where our to-go was, she said she forgot to ring it in and asked if we still wanted it. Yes.. obvisouly. Waited another 20 minutes for that, another server stopped by to see how we were as she saw how long it was taking our server to take care of us. The restuarant only had 5 tables filled in it, with 2 being our servers table so being busy was not the reason for her slowness. For $100 I could have eaten at another restaurant and been provided better service both times. Will not be back. Managers were at the bar enjoying food and drinks at the bar about 10 feet from us , you would never know they were the managers as they were in civilian clothing and not a Tequilas shirt or anything, I only knew they were the managers due to a server...
