Not impressed. Would not recommend. You need to be on your A game to have a successful Lebanese restaurant in the Detroit area, as we are blessed with a lot of really good ones; this isn’t one of those.
I ordered beef shawarma with rice and tabbouleh. I’ve been eating and even making tabbouleh since childhood, so I know what it should be like. This had ZERO bulgur/cracked wheat in it. None. ???! The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, at least, and the dressing wasn’t overly acidic, but now I have to go get my own bulgur to add to it.
The shawarma had an okay flavor but not one detectable bit of fat. None. If that’s your jam and you’re meat fat-phobic, you’ll love it, but that’s not authentic and it results in the meat being on the dry side. Shawarma also had zero of the typical vegetable garnishes like grilled or fresh onions, tomatoes, etc. It was just a pile of meat next to a pile of rice.
The rice...was a bit over-seasoned, a bit watery, and close to half of the rice grains were broken. Just weird.
The garlic sauce, at least, was good.
I’d never tried this place, but it was in a neighborhood I had to go to and I was starving. The food fills the hole, but wasn’t enjoyable or satisfying, and I have to alter it to even want to eat it.
I’m currently living in Chicago where we have very little Lebanese food, and most of it is mediocre at best. When I visit home, I usually am seriously jonesing for good Lebanese food, and this place totally let me down. Definitely won’t be back, and you’d do well to try elsewhere. Not sure where the 4.9 rating came from. It’s not the worst Lebanese place I’ve ever eaten at, but it’s definitely below average, and by Detroit standards, very well...

Thank you for the response. I have to be honest, this is NOT the first time that your 'servers have cut the portions in half (i.e. HALF filling the rice pudding container etc.). It happens with other menu items too- especially the HUMMUS and the BREAD. We used to order 3-4 times a week from your location as the food is generally great- but when your servers partially fill the bread bags with 1/3 to 1/2 less (of what's normally provided- and trust me for people like us who have ordered so many times in the past from your particular location, we can bear true & accurate testimony/witness to the blatantly obvious DIMINISHING portion sizes!) or LARGE ORDERS of HUMMUS only HALF filled- customers will NOTICE this and simply STOP patronizing your establishment.
There's a big difference between being 'fair' and RIPPING CUSTOMERS off, as long time customers like us (now FORMER customers!!!!!) will take notice and simply order elsewhere moving forward.
So perhaps something you might contemplate considering and/or passing onto your employees (whose actions/decision represent your business!?!) What's more important, saving a few bucks here and there by unfairly, deliberately decreasing portion sizes (which is STEALING from your customers by the way!) or losing customers FOREVER consistently?!
Best wishes. Do not order the RICE PUDDING at this location. Not only do they CHARGE a whopping $5 (for that price alone even an 8oz. portion would be considered expensive!) for a 2oz portion of rice pudding sitting in 4oz container (YEP half filled)- major rip off!!!! NO MORE ORDERING FOOD at this RIP OFF...
Read moreMy whole order was wrong so I called the store and the lady that took my order ask me if I can come back. I told her that i couldn't and that i was already at home. She said no problem just give us a call when you ready to order again and we replace your whole order. Apparently the worker didn't leave any proof to show that my order was wrong and that my order was going to be replaced. So when i called the store the manager thought that i was lying because the worker who took my order didnt follow protocol call when customers orders are wrong. The manger that i spoke with said that my name and number should be on the broad and it was not. So for the lack of confidence from his worker my order is not getting replace. And not only that the manger that I spoke with told me several lies stating he was going to fire who ever told my order and he wasnt even sure who took my order. And that crazy to fire someone for one mistake. And he said he have only two girls that work there then later in the conversation he said he got 3 girls that work there that takes orders. All lies this man tell. I just wish when i order that the original girl was there because i never have a problem when she takes my order and she is very nice and sweet. The lady that took my order i never seen her before. Maybe the original lady was on vacation or something i dont know. But at the end of the day business can hurt giving out free food but a customer can hurt as well when they feel like there money was wasted because the...
